And I have a large collection of both hard-side protective storage-travel gear boxes as well as fabric organizers like the Mossa bag. While the inference on the vendor page is that this bag is for law enforcement (sometimes called a ‘war bag’), tactical or security services, it’s certainly usable in the private sector by anyone who has need for a travel bag that provides ‘accessible’ storage of one’s ‘working or personal items.’ And if you’re driving in a vehicle, this ‘working office’ can be strapped into your front passenger-side seat, using the headrest to hold it in the open position for quick access. So could this bag make a great gift for someone who travels with, essentially, their vocational or personal avocational items in-hand? Yes.When I received the Mossa organizer, the first thing I did was to expand the bag using the two removable dividers. With the horizontal long and vertical short velcro-dividers, I could keep the bag in an open condition; easier to digest all of the storage opportunities. And as for its build, I’d say it’s very similar to and equal in quality to one of my fabric organizers. And as in the vendor photos, its versatility is well demonstrated.The Mossa organizer and similar bags are typically used to store ‘high value/security sensitive electronics (ie; laptops) and other gear like vision optics, photo and video devices. So that brings up an important point. Being fabric, the Mossa bag is not secure-capable. The Mossa bag will close up using the main-compartment zipper. But beyond that, the bag needs to be secured within a proper high-value storage device. For bags like the Mossa I use an out-of-sight lock box integrated into the vehicle. But most often I’ll do a ‘close and carry’, taking the bag with me as I’ll be using the contents for my work.While my old tac-bag organizer, about the same size as the Mossa, feels a bit heavier, seemingly from a thicker fabric, the Mossa, while physically lighter, appears very durable and flexible. I weighed it at about 2-3/4 pounds empty with the carry-strap. Being so light, one benefit is that if you use this as a commercial aviation carry-on, (obviously filled with only allowable items), you’ll be able to use nearly all of your ‘allocated carry-on weight.’ Dimensionally at ‎(9.4″ x 17.3″ x 12.6″), you should be able to fit the Mossa into the ‘carry-on test box’, (9″ x 22″ x 14″), at the airport gate for your flight. Being fabric, the 9″ (depth) dimension of the bag can usually be compressed if a bit over. You also have the option of simply moving some items that effect the depth of the bag and add them to the width or height of the bag. Bottom line, it’s doable as a carry-on.While I do feel this is a very good organizer of quality build, I followed the vendor’s Amazon page ‘Products Related to this Item’ and viewed very similar, if not the same designed bags. This may help you in making a purchase decision. I saw that bag designs varied, as did prices. Overall, and focusing on the Mossa bag, I’m sure I’ll be using this organizer in my current daily work vehicle. It has a few more storage options than my current organizer.
