Nice beginner set, HEMA heavy formula
This set doesn’t claim to be HEMA free, some modelones products have it some don’t, just wanted to point it out in case someone wasn’t aware, I appreciate the ingredients being displayed prominently on the box. I love these all matte nail tips, they don’t slip out of your hands and are easier to handle than the partially etched ones. I have flatter nail beds, which I guess is a thing, apparently it’s a problem and can cause your tips to pop off prematurely. These seem flat nail bed friendly and very comfy when I was sorting through them. The tips arrive in little baggies and the lengths are accurate to the listing photos, the xs lengths weren’t available when I ordered, the short length are what I would wear for fancy occasions.The little flash cure lamp is vey cute, though do take note of two things. First is that this is meant for a “flash cure,” which is the initial short cure that keeps you tips from sliding off your nails before you place them in your regular uv lamp, definitely don’t use it as a replacement for a full cure, the uncured HEMA can seep through the nail plate leading to a bad time. It’s also not rechargeable, photos don’t show the cable but you’ll need a little USB plug on your desk. That part’s a shame, it looks like you should be able to plop it down without a cable but no. It is handy for other things though, it’s useful for flash curing rhinestones and other baubles onto your tips.I like this set, even if you don’t plan on using the included UV glue to attach the tips I think the tips and lamp themselves are worth the price.

Okay Little Kit
Okay so first things first, I personally do not think that you should use this light to try to fully cure your nails. I have other big, enclosed lights that I personally feel would be safer to use. I am very worried about getting a gel allergy, so I do not take any chances when it comes to gel products. What I do think this light is great for is semi-curing. So, I typically get my nails done in a salon, but my nail girl is on maternity leave. The way she does it, and the way I have been doing it at home is semi curing till I get one whole hand done – with the small light and then putting the whole hand in the big light and I tend to cure for 90 seconds (at the salon she does 60, but again, I am paranoid). I find this to be easier and safer – it also saves time instead of fully curing each individual nail one by one. So I do think the light is great for semi curing, which can also be helpful for designs, especially if you are using different powders or things like that, that only need you to partially cure before application. Also, I want to make this clear that I do not think this is a bad part of the kit, I am just saying this as a general statement for safety with use. I like the small light because sometimes it can be hard to find a good one, and this one is great.Anyway, so the next thing is that I don’t think the glue is that good. It does not adhere as well as other gel glues. I am used to my Gel-X nails lasting 6 weeks (I tended to get them done between 4-6 weeks). This lasted around 3 weeks, so I am not too happy about that part, at minimum I would be happy with 4 weeks. I did the same prep as I do with my other glue, so it is definitely the glue.Beyond that, I do think this is a great starter kit. I like the sizes they provide. These do have a a high c-curve, so I do not know how well they would work for someone with flat nails.They are pretty rigid, I wish they had a little bit more flex. The file they give you is nice. Also the light is plug in, not rechargeable, which I don’t mind, but just to let anyone know. Mostly, I think this is decent and is a good starter kit. I like the small light for semi-curing and overall I think this is good.

And it’s really everything you need to just apply nails. I love the almond shape and I love the length more than anything. Sometimes I get adventurous and put on long nails and I always end up regretting it because it just makes daily tasks harder to do, so the shorter ones just work better for me personally. Right out of the box I liked these, it was packaged well and everything inside looks nice. Applying them were so easy, the glue works great and I have a big nail lamp but if I didn’t the little included one would work good I’m sure. All in all these are nice. 👍
