Homekit integration does not seem to be possible
We ordered two of these, at different times. Neither will connect to the âHomeâ app on iOS or iPadOS. Always says âUnable to find device, please make sure your device is powered on or close byâ. Iâm paraphrasing here. Iâve wasted several hours scouring the Internet for a solution. I have read and performed all resets, troubleshooting, etc. as specified by the manufacturer. No dice. Just doesnât work.Perhaps the Meross app will work, but we have no interest in multiple apps to control multiple âsmartâ devices. If it doesnât work with Homekit, we donât want it.As a lamp, they do indeed provide light when the button is pushed. No complaints there.If you are in an âall Appleâ household and want a smart light that is easy to setup and useâ¦this isnât what you want. Bummer man.Update (later the same day as the review above):Well, I managed to connect both lights to Homekit after another two hours of monkeying around. So far, they are working. What I had to do (in general) is:1. Download the âMerossâ app2. Set up the lights choosing ânon-homekit versionâ (you use the wifi built into the light itself to do this. QR codes have no part in this process)3. They were magically available in Homekit (Home App) after.Be aware that I had to use an iPad to setup the first light. After an hour of failures with the second light, it turned out that setting up with my iPhone worked after many resets, restarts, etc.. Now they both work from any of my iOS devices while connected to my 5G wifi (which is of course bridged to the 2.4 gig network).I upgraded my rating due to the victory, but man oh man, I have never worked harder on two $40 toys in my life. Donât give up if they give you trouble. There may be hope.

Good little smart lamp
Not bright enough to light up a room, but it works for what I want it for. Setup was relatively easy, plugged it in, open homekit, scan the code which is next to where you plug it in on the lamp(i really like this as most of the codes on other items are in the manual, which after a couple of months I am sure I wont have anymore) the first time it didnt find it, unplugged the lamp and let it sit for a minute or two, plugged the lamp back in and scanned the code and it worked just fine. Played around with the colors for a minute, wasnât very impressed with the colors. The green was almost white with a green tint. Downloaded the Meross app, updated the firmware and there was a huge difference. The colors are much much better after a firmware update. Like the touch controls up top, added it to google and alexa through the Meross app and it works great, well worth the money for me. Thinking about buying another. I highly recommend downloading the app and updating the firmware.

As a user of meross devices throughout my home (light switches, smart bulbs, smart wall plugs, garage door opener, etc) this was a nice addition to my smart home setup. I really like the meross ecosystem as the meross app works well and has a great android widget as well and it all works very well with google home. I like the meross app routines as well for managing lights.The lamp itself is a nice design with good options of colors and brightness. I use mine to illuminate our entryway and stairway which is often dark to navigate at night. I have it set to light up the space with a soft lighting in a color that mimics the orange glow of a salt lamp. I can also change the colors to suit the mood or the season.I would have liked the ability to use the top buttom to return to a custom preset as when i do press the button to change the color, it only cycles through the basic colors and i have to to back to the app to set the color back to a custom color.Overall. i am very happy with it and would consider getting more for other spaces in the future.

Decent lamp, good value for money when purchased at a discount, Colours are a bit different presenting than my other meeros bulb and light products, I feel the brightness on this device is lacking compared to other products as well. It’s decently bright when using cool/white but colours and warm lights seem to be more dim even at max brightness.
