Very sturdy, easy to assemble & kitten LOVES it
This is quite sturdy and well designed. I put it together quickly with the included allen wrench. Size is perfect for kitty climbing. He runs up it and jumps off, and it barely wobbles. No smells. Feels strong and safe. My 6 week old kitten just loves it.Fav part – weight of it, ease of assembly and it’s so cute too!Issues? – the hanging ball was in two pieces (both attached by the cord still). I’ve put it back together but it won’t stay, so I’ll glue it at some point. – NOTE: THIS IS NOT A DEAL BREAKER!

Paying for style, not durability.
This scratching post is absolutely adorable and I appreciated the ease of assembly. Love the look of it, which is why I pulled the trigger on purchasing one for what is the average price of a small cat tree. Now having it I purchased it in October of 2022 and am writing at the end of December the same year, I have to say I’m disappointed with the durability of the product. I have two cats – they are not destructive or particularly chaotic felines and while my smaller tabby is definitely playful, she is not especially strong due to her size. My larger long hair cat is much heavier/has more strength to her but she is extremely calm and laid back even when playing.Less than three months have gone by and the scratching post already has the rope detaching from the middle of the post after normal use, the little toy ball has been entirely unraveled, and a leaf ripped off the top of the structure. The rope itself is decent and the height of the post is great for small-medium size cats – it would also probably work for a larger cat.However, be warned that busier/stronger/larger cats with higher energy and more intense styles of playing will likely destroy the post with a quickness. Now looking back I would probably have been better off to get a whole cat tree as the price of the post is predominantly for style and not to endure much play/use for cats who frequently use it for what it’s made to do.

It’s a good size and looks nice. Easy enough to put together. I have a 9 lb cat and a 23 lb cat. So far hasn’t fallen over with my big cat but he hasn’t been too rough with it. So it’s a wait and see if my big cat really puts his force into it which he usually does. It’s hard to find anything for bigger cats that don’t fit the norm. He’s tall and wide as well. So far so good. I’ll update if need be. You cam now see the wear on this tree which tells me there is no way it’s going to last.the one I had before this lasted 6 yrs before it showed wear like this so I’m downgrading the stars and will update again.

I have two larger cats who like the tree but have basically destroyed it in under a month. The top of the palm tree insert is made of fabric and my cats have obliterated that. The whole structure is a little side heavy where the palm tree is and the whole thing has fallen a few times in that direction. It’s very cute if you have small cats that don’t play rough or scratch too much.
