Mens Belt – Italian Designer Leather-based Belt by Mio Marino – Simple to Regulate Linxx Buckle – Excellent for Informal or Costume Event

Best belts I have ever purchased.
I bought two of these belts over two months ago, one in “Mahogany – Style 162″ for up to a 44” waist, and one in “Black – Style 155″ of the same size. I think they’re great and here are my comments:Pros:+ $12.99 per belt, depending on the color choices.+ Fully customizable length, you choose your belt width and cut using the imprinted lengths on the inside surface as a guide. I’d suggest initially cutting the belt a few inches wider than your actual waist so that you can keep trimming it down if needed.+ The belt’s locking mechanism (not to be confused with the buckling mechanism) has five spikes that clamp down onto the inside surface of the belt and semi-permanently locks the leather belt to the buckle, this is a one time procedure if done properly.+ Unlike traditional pin-thru-hole belts, this buckle’s pin is a decoy and does not actually go through the leather belt at any point, it is just for appearance.+ This belt’s ingenious buckling mechanism is inside facing and hidden, and is a combination of the buckle’s metal latch that cinches with a plastic track that is stitched to the inside surface of the belt. This plastic track has two rows of triangular notches that have peak-to-peak distances of ~6 mm (~1/4″) which means that you can tighten or loosen your belt in increments of ~6 mm or ~1/4”.+ Provides way more precise adjustment than any leather belts I’ve ever purchased.+ I no longer need to lift up my shirt, unbuckle my belt, then bend and fold the belt back (which permanently creases the leather by the way) just to bring the belt up a size or two after big meals.+ Adjusting the belt is as easy as lifting the metal buckle (to disengage the latch from the plastic track) with one hand, and pulling/pushing the leather belt with the other.Cons:- These belts are geniune leather so you may need a pair of heavy duty pair scissors to initially cut the belt down to the proper size.- These belts are genuine leather so you may need a pair of pliers to force the spiked clamp down. Fortunately, this is just a one time procedure.- If you trim the leather belt too much, you may not be able to use the belt comfortably.I will try to update this review if any issues or problems develop over time. Very nice belt system, recommend trying
This is the first ratchet belt I’ve tried, but I really like it. It was very easy to put together, take apart and adjust the length. I started by cutting a couple of inches off, but wasn’t happy with the length, so I simply took another inch off until it was just what I wanted. I really love the bucket, it’s fairly traditional looking, but unlike some other models I looked at does not have an extra release button sticking out. It’s very sleek and works wonderfully. I also like that it’s fairly traditional looking. With my old belt, I was constantly adjusting it, so I would have it more loose around the house, but if I needed to carry my wallet, phone, keys, etc, then I’d have to tighten it a notch — a full inch. This belt is SO EASY to adjust. And much more accurate, I think each click is 1/4th of an inch. I don’t have to just accept the next setting — I can make it just right.So, why not 5 stars? there are a couple of things I’m less thrilled with. First, and totally my fault, I didn’t verify the width of the leather. This belt is 1.25″ and I would have preferred something wider. I’ve noticed the weight of the buckle and the size of belt loop has allowed that one end to twist easily when not fastened so that it’s essentially inside-out. My wife has also commented that she can tell when I’m about to leave the bathroom because of the clicking of the ratchet system. I don’t find it super loud, but it is a noticeable difference. Maybe like going from button fly jeans to something with a zipper.Overall, the benefits definitely win. I’m already thinking I should get a black version in a wider width now that I’ve tried this one. For the increased comfort of being easily adjustable in my setting, the price is very reasonable. I recommend getting one to try if you’ve never had a ratchet belt previously.

Looks fantastic and is so easy to use. I love that it can be adjustable and prefer this type to “normal” belt systems. Quality is great and so is customer service. I have an issue with some scratches on the buckle (arrived like this) and the seller promptly sent a replacement. Can’t fault the customer service and the belt. I have both few more products from the same seller, they look elegant and not tacky!

Replacement for a previous belt that I had for nearly 5 years, along with another that I also used. Unlike conventional leather that can easily develop a worn look, not so with these well presented and packaged. Real bargain!!
