We love it
We participated Lumi by pampers study early this year and love the products (monitor and diaper sensor) So we purchased the products once it launched on amazon. We love it for below reasons:1. Camera quality is fantastic with great night vision capability. Itâs 1040p and color is vivid. Recently it add a playback function and you can see what your baby had been doing in the past 24 hours. So we wonât miss any growth milestone. Very cool!2. Sleep tracking help us stay on track. The diaper sensor automatically track diaper change and sleep. Our baby hasnât develop consistent nap schedule and the sleep tracking help us trouble shoot why she is fussy/crying. Also it help us to figure out her night routine and keep enough sleep for growth(14-16hr/day)3. Tips on baby development and sleep training save us time on researching. This is our first baby so we have a lot to learn. Lumi app provides us a resource for these information so we donât need to spend a lot of time googling online.4. The best thing we love it is that the app is on your phone, so we donât need to carry a separate device around. Everything is on your phone and make life easier!

Outstanding picture quality – a MUST for new parents!
After doing a lot of research, we decided to take the plunge and buy the full Lumi package which included the video monitor, sleep sensor and diapers – I have to say we are totally in LOVE. Three things I love the most:1. The picture is so clear, and I love how even in low light it will stay in full color. The night vision is the best I have seen and it’s amazing to be able to check on him from my phone. I work in a hospital and it’s been so reassuring to be able to see how he’s doing from there, especially when I work a long shift.2. The Lumi Lookback feature is so fun It’s basically a one-minute timelapse video you can create every morning, it makes me so happy to see him wriggle and roll around his crib at night and his smiling face when he wakes up. I save most of these to my phone – so effortless.3. The App is super easy to use and because we also bought the sleep sensor it tracks all of his sleep automatically – so the app doubles as both our baby monitor but also where we keep track of his routine (which has been so helpful for Pediatrician visits) – I find the weekly sleep reports and access to the Wonderweeks leaps very insightful.It was quick to set up and I love how the camera looks in our nursery too. I know it is a bit more expensive but you definitely won’t regret it!

Not Worth the Headaches
When it works, it’s an okay monitor. It has a good video and audio.It has no push notifications, however, so you have to leave the app open and monitor it yourself 24/7. Not great if you use your phone for other things (e.g. googling anything for Baby!). A dedicated baby monitor with a hardware tablet is much more attractive in that case.But let’s talk about customer service: I received a defected monitor that dies every few hours… It just completely stops working and needs to be fully reset and re-paired. I have had to waste hours with them trying to fix it over the past week, and it’s still broken. At first I had to chat with customer service for a while. Then I had to fill out a survey and detail the problem further, not too bad. Then I had to record and upload multiple videos showing the error, and how I attempted to fix it, which was quite time-consuming. Then after a few more emails back and forth, most recently they told me it wasn’t working because the plastic screen protector was still on it. Seriously? That “solution” took 2 days to send to me by the way, and it didn’t fix anything, it still dies. I would love to know the science behind this, and why their tech department thinks that a plastic screen protector would make the whole unit completely freeze up and die every few hours. I feel like they are just wasting my time at this point and hoping I give up and eat this $200 lemon.Our baby came a couple weeks early and this thing has been a constant headache. I told them this, but it only increased the time between responses with them. I would recommend checking out infant optics and eufy if you want something that just works, which can’t be valued enough once you have a newborn to take care of. They both have newer models as of 2021 that have good video. If the customer service actually helped, it would be bearable, but good luck getting things fixed in any reasonable time frame with these folks.After having Baby, I realized the most important quality in a monitor is something that is always on, and always works. This product is the opposite.

I would give this product 10 stars if I could!!! I love it so much and, as a working mom, it has saved me from feeling terrible for not being able to see my little baby all day long because now, with the Lumi, I can check in with her, watch her, talk to her, and monitor her care all day long. In addition, it has some seriously AMAZING features like the Lookback which condenses 12 hours of intermittent recording into a very short video recap of her nights. Every. Single. Night. And it lets you save them to your camera roll quickly and easily if you want for later oohing and awwwing if she does something cute or funny! Itâs so cool and cute and useful I canât even adequately describe how much I love it. Itâs the thing in my life I never knew I needed but which has truly helped to better understand my babyâs habits when Iâm not around. Especially regarding her sleep or lack thereof. Until I got the Lumi, I was very confused about why she would wake up from a two hour ânapâ still yawning and grumpy but now with the advanced monitoring capabilities of Lumi I can see that she is not sleeping as much as we thought, just sometimes quietly playing in bed for a while until she finally starts to fuss. It helped me to better understand her needs. And the design is awesome. The app is very easy to use and intuitive. Overall just love it and donât even know what I did without it.
