Simple to use and very useful
I used this light, straight out of the box, to light up my macro shot of some Christmas décor and since I am a rookie to photography I was surprised of the quality image I was able to produce without ever having used a light, other than my camera flash or natural light, to light up any of my subject of photography. My pro photographer friends that saw my shots were positively impressed by my results.The light is very bright for it’s small size and the diffuser is very nice. The warmth of the light is very nice. In my shot I did not use the warm light because I wanted to create the effect of the cold of the snow – it turned out nice, I think.The light is very easy to use as it has only 1 button and a toggle to adjust the brightness and the color of the light. My pro-photographer friend decided to get this as well over the Aperture light he bought several years back – mainly due to the quality of light and the size and weight.

Small, excellent illumination for photography but…
This is a great little device. Small, portable and battery efficient with the ability to adjust the color temperature (Kelvin) as well as the brightness of the panel. I had hoped to use this for “light painting” in photography but it might not be ideal as to turn it on or off you have to hold the power button for like 2 seconds and when you are “measuring” light in dark environs 2 seconds can over-expose an image. Not really a deal breaker as there are work arounds. The last version came with a hard plastic type diffuser over the LEDS which was great. My biggest gripe with this version is the diffuser is now a semi-loose fitting silicone cover that can get caught on items in your pocket, get stretched out or torn / torn off the unit. I see that as being more flimsy and problematic looking down the road. Otherwise this is a great little device worth the money.

Extremely compact but bright enough
This is the most compact rectangular LED of the range but the light is strong enough for close up photography which is what I require. The light is not very strong for our eyes but camera sensors see plenty of it. The USB charging and color temperature dial are perfect features.

For kits on-the-go, this is a perfect light to keep in your bag. Excellent for those outdoor interviews to fill-in shadows underneath eyes/chin. I rated it a 4 star on brightness only because, we live in Florida, and if you’re having to (NOT recommended) shoot anytime in the Summer between 11-3, there’s never enough light to counter the Sun. 😉 Honestly – I would give it a 5 star for any other situation. Love the solidness and simplicity of the unit, and that you have color balance. Charges quickly and lasts a long time depending on your brightness level. I’ve already suggested this to co-workers and other shooters. Perfect too for illuminating an indoor background like behind an interview.

Verarbeitung ist gut und das Teil passt in jede Fototasche. Vielleicht etwas teuer. Von Rollei gibt es z.B. ähnliches, aber ich wollte beim Original bleiben. Likes:I liked that the unit is easy-to-use, no complex menus to faff around with, and it remembers its settings. I also liked the USB-C charging capability. What’s really excellent is that it has two diffusers; a permanently mounted plastic diffuser over the LEDs, and a second slip-on silicone diffuser which sits about 5mm away from the first diffuser. This is really great for subtle lighting and for detail on my macro photos, where a ring light can be hopeless unless it really is high-end and well designed to control direction and glare reduction. I like that the light can be used fairly dimmed which is sufficient for many photos where I want to control glare on shiny product photos for instance. The colour-temperature range is good too.The main unit itself feels reasonably sturdy, and the permanently-attached plastic diffuser should protect the front of the unit somewhat too.Battery life I think is good, especially if it is not operated at max brightness. For a lot of my photos, I have the brightness set to under 20% for instance, and then battery life is around 4 hours. At 10% brightness, the battery life is around 6.5 hours, and I often use that level to provide directed illumination for small product photos. Even at 1% brightness the unit can be used as a camping light, and will operate for 12 hours.Dislikes:Not much to dislike. I wish it was slightly cheaper in a bundle of say two, since one might not always be enough. I also wish the unit came with a case, because I don’t want to damage the silicone add-on diffuser.
