There’s a space for cord to connect when phone is sitting on it, so it doesn’t inhibit charging while it is on the stand. There is a hole on back to thread the cord through, I guess that is to stabilize it. It is versatile. The base and the support panel are plastic. The retractable support is aluminum. There is silicone on the support panel and anti-slip pads on the base. It says the base weighs180g. The whole unit weighs 253g.

Sturdy
I work from home and this is the perfect phone stand. It is a great design and very sturdy. It doesn’t take up much room on my desk and fits very well between my keyboard and monitor. It works well and keeps it stability.

Wobbles even at minimum height (which could have been shorter)
The base seemed of decent weight and quality — the anti-slip pads worked very well on a glass desk top and would likely prove as good on other surfaces. However, the stem and holder were definitely too lightweight and the minimum height was higher than ideal (this item might be better with a slightly heavier, wider and more rigid stem (more metallic than plastic) that telescoped in three stages.It handled the weight of an iPhone 12 Pro Max (vertically) and a 10″ Android tablet (horizontally), each with the added weight of their own sturdy protective cases, and seemed relatively stable when just sitting on the desk. I did not explore how well the devices might have remained in the cradle if accidentally nudged — the base would have been fine but I’d be much more nervous about them staying seated if the stem was accidentally nudged (and the taller minimum height would be another disadvantage if the device fell).However, unlike a slightly different, more metallic, option I bought (which has a wider cradle but still handles both tablet and phone fine) the screens of both the iPhone and tablet shook quite significant when typing on a keyboard on the desk. While there seemed no danger of the devices falling out it would not have been ideal for watching content (or pressing screen) and this was not a problem with the other option I bought so will be returning in favor of buying a second of the other.

This is an amazing product. Keeps my phone where I can see it. No more looking for my phone amongst the papers on my desk. Sturdy and practical.

My husband bought this 1year back and we loved it. We even had guests complementing on this product. And it is worth every penny, because it does a good job. So this year I bought 2 more. One for workplace and another room in the house. The design is so good. I think it would look good in any type of interior setup you have at home or desk. I use it a lot in the kitchen and for video calling. Holds my heavy ipad with its sturdy cover well too. Highly recommend for any one. Assembling it is super wasy and packaging is decent too. 👌🏽5 on 5 from us. Its a good device to gift too.We recieved it a bit late than promised. But I was not in an urgency for this item. So its okay. The package arrived in good condition.
