Outstanding Thermostat
I recently was replacing my Honeywell Thermostat of 10 years because of the Wifi failing to connect. I purchased a newer one similar to the old one from Lowes for about $200. Before I installed it, I was looking online here and found this little guy. It was real reasonable at just around $50. I ordered it and to my surprise, it is awesome. It is sleek and clean looking. The connectivity and app options are more than I could ask for. Not to mention it communicates with my Alexa Echoes in the house and asks a a remote temperature sensor. That feature is an added cost on the ones from Lowes. I am sure this little guys does a lot more than I understand at this point, but the programming daily temps, wireless access, being able to tell Alexa to change the temp from any room using voice, predictive temp changes, and monitoring from the app while away are all things I love about this little guy. It came with everything needed to install it and I was able to install it myself and save $100 installation charge offered at Lowes. I can’t say enough great things about this Thermostat.

Got this to replace a non-smart thermostat. Bought the refurbished one bc usually there isn’t anything wrong with the product but rather the prior buyer. Took about 5 min to install. NO I structions, NO QR code which Alexa wanted to make the process faster. Just placed the thermostat into program mode and 2 minutes later it was good to go. “C” wire is required. Without it, the thermostat either won’t work or will need an adapter

Hunches & Thermostat & Customer Services
Thermostat works like a basically Thermostat because interaction with hunches as seen in many fourms doesn’t work well… you could set a schedule but my old one had a schedule setup. I was looking for something that would work better than a schedule since my hours of being home change all the time. So when I leave hunches is suppose to pick up on that and set my thermostat on away temp. Same for sleep… it’s set itself to sleep while I was away but barely picks up when I’m away properly. I’ve called tech and they just sent me to some other company who only had me reset router and thermostat and that’s about all they can do. I have researched it and had little luck other than being told Amazon tech logs in logs and a few days later everyone says it works. So far I’m not getting the same support and feel stuck debating installing my previous honeywell thermostat back up. (Update) after much troubleshooting on my own, I called back to customer support and informed them of my previous attempts and what all I have done and about the fourms I read that seem to fix the issue. I asked that we troubleshoot it and if we can’t fix it that I get a refund. Customer service went straight into refund with not attempt to fix it. Then told me they would return the funds as credit as that’s how I purchased it and that it would take 3 to 4 days after I send it back before I get a refund… my response was so I’m suppose to wait for the refund before I can order a new thermostat and then wait for deliever of a new one without their attempt to troubleshoot and basically go a week without a thermostat… answer was yes. Support was worthless and so was this thermostat… spend the extra money and get a google nest or ecobee… you’ll be glad you did to avoid Customer service for a bit that works as it is attended too.

Great budget thermostat, has enough features to be useful and not too many to be annoying
I bought this because our google nest stopped working and this was cheap and honestly I would buy it all over again. For the price this thermostat looks and functions great, it has a sleek design and you can control the temperature through your phone. The installation was easy and straight forward, my ONLY complaint is that you need to control the thermostat through the alexa app on your phone, it doesn’t have its own app but it’s a small price to pay for such a great and budget thermostat

Works Well
Although this is Refurbished, you could never tell. I am still getting used to it but I like that it is easy to program right from my Alexa app. It is easily programed to do time frames that you want. The only thing that confused me is that it does not have a battery backup like normal thermostats have but it makes much more sense because if the power is off with a forced air system you cannot use the furnace anyway.Only one more test to go will be to test the vacation mode coming up soon to see how it does. (although have not gotten first bill with this new thermostat yet haha)

Works right out the box
This is a great and expensive smart thermostat. That worked right out the box by just connecting to my Alexa app and Auto set up. The screen is very basic, just down and up buttons. but the controls on the app are as good as the other smart thermostats multiple times the price of this.
