Great products and great customer service.
I purchased 4 of the 300S and one of the 600S. The 600S was for the primary Livingroom. It says that it covers up to 753 sf3. I knew it was outmatched, but I have it in a wide open area that is 1,700 sf of open space with 17ft ceilings. While it never quite shuts off, it does a great job raising the humidity level from approximately 20% to 50%+/-. I set it at a 55% maximum. Keep in mind, this is a huge space, much larger than advertised, and it overall does a great job. The rooms feels so much more comfortable.The 300s are for each bedroom and it does an excellent job. They are each more comfortable.These units are great. I hate low humidity but also was afraid of mold and other problems with too much humidity. They all automatically turn on and off when it reaches the prescribed humidity level, and keep it within range. They are easily set with the app. I am glad I purchased them and highly recommend them.I did have an issue with the 600S. It worked great for 2 days, and then started leaking. Luckily I noticed it right away so I could address it. otherwise It could have caused damage to my wood floors. Before I could even write the company for a replacement, they emailed me to see if I was satisfied. I told them about the leak and they quickly sent me another one with a return shipping package to return the old one. I got it within a couple days and have been using the new one for about a month without issues. Every product has bad apples. They have a great product and even better customer service. I would definitely purchase from them again.

I really love this unit. It is the best humidifier I’ve had. The fact that it can maintain a set humidity level relatively accurately is a huge asset. I live in the southwestern US and it is very dry here, and I am also a musician. Having recently purchased a very nice acoustic guitar made of all solid wood, I wanted a humidifier that would keep my apartment at a stable humidity level ideal for an acoustic instrument. This unit does the job but requires some extra steps to make it truly work for me.I’ve found that under normal operation, the humidifier will run until the internal hygrometer senses that it has reached the target humidity level. Once it has reached the target level, it will stop until the relative humidity drops to 5% below target and then it will run again. However, it will often linger around the target level (according to the display) when it clearly feels dryer than what is being displayed.Now, I have yet to test this with another hygrometer (I need a weird battery for my other one that I have been too busy/tired/lazy to buy), but other people have and they have noticed that the displayed RH% on the Levoit unit is about 10% higher than on another hygrometer. What I have noticed is that if I run a fan in the room, the displayed RH% drops significantly, and then the humidifier is outputting quite a bit more mist and at this point I feel that the RH% on the readout matches what I feel in the room. This is consistent with other reviews.My belief is that the humidity sensor on the Levoit unit is not that well designed. It seems to be fooled by the mist around the humidifier into detecting a higher-than-accurate humidity level. This is easily remedied by running a fan near the humidifier to encourage airflow.About the aroma pad (IMPORTANT!): I DO NOT recommend using the aroma pad. I was really excited for this feature and it plain doesn’t work. Levoit says aroma should be “light” and I would agree if you put your nose right up to it, yes, you can smell a light aroma. It does nothing for the room. What it does seem to do is further confound the humidity sensor, making it impossible for the unit to reach anywhere near the target humidity.At one point, I noticed I was getting no mist output for some time after applying oil to the aroma pad and inserting it. I removed the aroma pad, and the readout RH% dropped like a rock! The sensor is right in that area where the aroma box is, so I just bought a separate ultrasonic diffuser to make my apartment smell nice.Other than the aroma box/humidity sensor issue, this is actually a fantastic unit. Very easy to clean, easy to fill and the big reservoir can last a while. If I need to take a trip and I’m gone for a few days, it will keep my apartment humid enough that my guitar is happy. The mist output is strong, and the two rotating nozzles really spread it around. I’ve heard also that a separate smart-home hygrometer connected to a smart outlet can regulate the unit’s output if the unit is set to manual, which would then make it a perfect set-and-forget humidity solution.

Best Smart Humidifier for the Money
2 Year Review – I have had this humidifier for over 2 years now and can say this is a great little workhorse for the money. The app is very intuitive and easy to operate which is one of the better features of this product. I didn’t think I would use very often, but it’s the main way I operate the humidifier now. I like how it tracks the humidity over time and makes it easy to adjust the humidity level through your phone especially if you’re in a different room or even away from your house. It also alerts you when the tank is empty and also sends cleaning reminders. The water tank is just big enough to supply constant humidity over a 24+ hour period, but isn’t overly bulky or heavy. The tank is also easy to empty and clean as well as transport from the faucet to the base unit. There’s also a nice little drawer on the side to add essential oils for any menthol or soothing scents.Cleaning it can be a bit of a pain with all the plastic pieces but that’s with any humidifier. If you don’t keep up with cleaning, then you get a ton of mineral deposits on the parts. I do use filtered water which seems to help cut down the amount of mineral deposits. It’s recommended to use distilled water, but it’s too hard to keep up with buying jugs of distilled water. I just make sure to clean the unit every couple tanks with soap, barkeepers friend, or vinegar to get rid of the deposits and it works just fine. I also don’t use the heat setting as that seems to create additional deposits and gunk.

Nice humidifier!
Vermont winters are very cold and dry. A humidifier is essential to keep the RH up to par. This model does cool and warm mist which is a nice plus. Very quiet in operation, as are most ultrasonic machines. The replacement water and mineral filters are very inexpensive and easy to replace. Remote control via a smartphone app is convenient. Overall a very good buy for the price.

We bought three of these thinking that they would be fantastic. We filled them up and plugged them in and they run for three or four seconds and then they all shut off and say there is no water. Started a warranty claim with the company, and we hope that they will refund us the money. Not good at all.*Updated review:Manufacturerâs (Levoitâs) Customer Service telephone line started the claim process. Had to email the manufacturer a video of empty tank malfunction red light icon and also the Amazon pdf invoice. Heard by email from Levoit from the claims department the next day. Agent recommended to wait for about five days for the tech departmentâs updated firmware available via the VeSync app. Also provided us the option to cut the cords and send a photo of the cut cords to start a replacement process. We opted to wait for the firmware update. It actually worked! Once the new firmware was installed via the VeSync app to each of the units separately, the pump did finally start to bring water from the tank below to the upper tray to drip onto the filters to make them wet and hence evaporate the water with the fanâs airflow. *Note that it is necessary to be persistent in restarting the unit several times (between 6 to 20 times, actually!) before the pump is primed and starts to deliver the water as it should. USE MANUAL MODE WITH FAN SET TO HIGHEST SPEED. (Speed 9 on the app, or 3 fan icons on the dash.) We almost gave up several times. But patience paid off. Once the pumps were finally primed in this way, the product works extremely well. The design and the build is smart and of excellent materials. The functionality is excellent. The fans are smooth and quite quiet, a gentle background white noise.It was an anxious ordeal having invested in three units at once and having none of them function, at first. Customers Service at Levoit was reasonable and their firmware update saved the day. Levoit SHOULD stipulate very clearly, though, to PERSIST IN POWERING ON THE HUMIDIFIER UNTIL THE PUMP IS PRIMED. Eventually you can hear the first trickle of water coming up into the top tray. Only then are you home free.Now we love the product as we expected we should. But it was a trying experience, to be honest.These machines raise the humidity level quickly compared to other types. We got this evaporative model after having bad experience with the white dust from the sonic misting types.Seriously, despite the initial frustrations getting it going, we love this new Levoit model with its big tank and intelligent design. Love it!
