Takes up little space
I love these lights. I had a five arm octopus light that I used in one of the spare bedrooms.Putting these together wasnts too difficult. The instructions were very beneficial and it took less than 30 minutes to put together both lights. The options are beautiful and I love using the warm white.The one thing I can’t figure out is the app. There’s an issue connecting the light fixtures to the app, so that part is useless for me. If anyone has suggestions, please share. I sometimes struggle with the remote turning the lights on/off if I don’t point it directly at the little box cord.The lights aren’t overly bright, but it works for the space I have them in. I use one for reading at night and it works alright.

Fun Light
This Light is easy to assemble, very sturdy once assembled properly. It’s about 4ft in height and size my family love it. all my kids want them in their bedroom also I think it is a great gift for kids rooms the only down side of this item for me is the white light isn’t bright enough for me to do homework. but overall it is a great item I will purchase more. The cost of this Light is not expensive I just had Fun with the light and changing the modes. i wish i had it connected to my music!!

Pleasantly Surprised!
I was originally discouraged by the engineering skills needed in order to assemble these what seemed like very simple lights. However, I was pleasantly surprised and immediately happy with the performance and outcome of the product for its price point. Probably gonna order a couple more sets lol. Just go in knowing that you will need to be careful when assembling these lights 10 out of 10.

Dim as a 30 watt bulb
If you’re looking to light up a room, this is the wrong item. It’s almost as bright as a 30 watt bulb. It won’t illuminate anything.Assembly was ok, though I never did find the video the instructions referred to. It does have the tiniest screws I’ve ever seen to assemble the pole, but that seemed to be the biggest challenge to that part.After assembly I did download their app, and created an account and connected my smart phone to it. That all worked ok.The remote that came with it did not work at all.

Cool but dull
It went together easy, was taller than i anticipated, and it makes good colors. All that being said it is NOT bright. It would be cool in a dark room, or for a pop of color, but this in no way functions as a lamp to add brightness to your room.

At this price, I wasn’t expecting much. Instead, it oozes quality. The metal body clips together easily and firmly, with none of the alignment problems you often get, and the supplied grub screws are a little fiddly to insert but hold everything together tightly. All in all, it took about 10 minutes to assemble and another 10 minutes to hook it up to Alexa (you have to install their app first).Originally I’d wanted a lamp with an L-frame on the floor so it could get right into the corner. Then, I realised that, if I did that, the light wouldn’t be visible. The fact that this is on a round base that pushes it a couple of inches out from the wall is actually an advantage – it’s just enough to allow the light to bounce off the wall and create a nice glow.Brightness is good (though it’s definitely accent lighting rather than utility!), and for what I paid I’m very impressed and happy.

TLDR: Good price, just enough brightness for accent lighting, will work with a switch like a regular lamp, the remote isnât very good, app is decent, setting up Smart Life requires a 2.4GHz wifi connection (see below for details).Assembly:Putting it together is very easy, no more than 10 minutes. It gives just enough light for some added mood to the room so donât expect enough light for anything else.Works as both a smart or regular âdumbâ lamp:What I like is that it can be used as a regular lamp, e.g. it will turn on/off from a switch. I have three other regular lamps plugged into an extension cord controlled by a smart plug and plugging this lamp into that extension cord has it turning on and off with the other lights. Just set the color and pattern you want and the setting is saved.App:Once connected to Smart Life you will be able to control the colours on your phone by opening Smart Life and tapping the lamp connection. That brings up a page with several options which you will have to mess around with the figure out (changing colours, patterns and a timer). Shouldnât take more than a few minutes to learn. The manual does briefly mention what the buttons mean.Remote Control:The remote control comes with an installed battery and a replacement, but I donât think Iâll be using the remote much. The only thing I will use it for is changing brightness (canât be done with the phone app). If you have something in front of the base cable like a plant, decorative box or couch the remote probably wonât work. When it does work the lag of the remote can be so bad that youâll wonder if that last button press worked, and then suddenly it will respond (or not).Connecting to Smart Life:Scanning the code on the box or in the manual only directs you to download the Smart Life app so if you already have it installed you can skip that. The main thing to know is you need to connect to a 2.4GHz wifi signal for setting it up. If you have a router than uses the same SSID name for both your 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections youâll have to change your router to show both individual wifi connections because you need to connect your phone to the 2.4GHz signal. After you have finished adding the lamp to Smart Life you can switch back to using the 5GHz signal on your phone, the 2.4GHz is only used to get the lamp setup in Smart Life. Once that was figured out connecting to the app wasnât a problem and typical of any other smart device.For the price it looks to be a good lamp. If your router is like mine you will have to name your 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections differently so do that in advance and save yourself some frustration.
