They worked for the project with which I needed them but they were a challenge
They aren’t very stable. I used them to help hold up a vent fan that I installed above my stove. The slightest bump or movement and they would tip over. The portion of the jack that actually touches the thing it is trying to lift is only about an inch or two long and less wide than they are long. The base is roughly 4×4 and that places the handles hanging off the back a bit off center. As you squeeze to raise it up, it can fall backwards. Also, when you release, keep your fingers out of the way as there are a bunch of pinch points.

Like an extra set of hands
I was doing some painting and removed some doors to paint and replace hinges. I was doing this by myself and these jacks worked great for raisingand holding the door up while I put the hinge pins back in. Made for an easy one man job. I think they will be invaluable when I replace windows this spring! Hardware store wanted 80 bucks for one and that was on sale!! For my needs these worked great and I got two for a fraction of the cost.
