Not durable for heavy chewers
To start with my dog is a 2yr old female pitbull ~60lbs. She absolutely loves this toy to death. She’s a power chewer so this doesn’t stand up long at all if I just leave it out for her. So I normally put it away when I’m not actively playing with her with it. Although it’s not the most durable, I’ve bought multiple now because she likes them so much.

Big hit with lab puppy
We have a 5 month old lab puppy who LOVES this thing. Sheâs very tough on toys but this one has held up surprisingly well so far. She can drag it, chew it and squeak it, all with the classic durability of a Kong. Only negative I can think of is the squeaker she loves is SO LOUD. But worth it to keep her entertained for a bit! I can foresee us buying more of these over time.

Not indestructible
My 1 year old black mouth cur is 75 pounds and she is a shredder! She loves to shred anything that she can get her teeth on. She has to be stimulated all day long so even when she shreds her toys we just deal with it because itâs better than her shredding our stuff. I was hoping this would be difficult for her to tear up and would last a little longer than usual.1. She LOVES it. She was so happy as soon as I gave it to her from the box. She has not put it down since. So it is keeping her busy.2. The squeaker is easy for her to squeak and ANNOYING. But we know sheâs having a good time LOL3. She has already ripped it open. She had it for 30 minutes and she was able to tear it. Time will tell if the ball on the inside can withstand her shredding power. Definitely keeping her busy and happy, so overall not bad but I still havenât found a toy she canât shred.

Great toy as long as your dog doesnât chew on it
I was so excited to get this toy because I figured my dogs would love itâ¦.and they did! However, after about 10 minutes with it, the top was completely destroyed making it not safe for my dogs to play with anymore. I considered just cutting the top ball off, but that would leave the fabric open on the bottom one which isnât safe either. 𫤠I wouldnât consider my dogs aggressive chewers, but I guess for the purpose of this toy they would be. The toy really is made for tossing/tugging and it seems like it would be great for that. It says it is made to withstand light/moderate chewing, I donât know that I agree with that. Perhaps on the streamer parts, but definitely not the top. If your dog isnât a chewer, this is a great toy-well made, good price and great concept. If your dog likes to chew at all I wouldnât recommend it simply because it will be destroyed very quickly.

Hack With-In
Over the 10+ years have been lucky enough to have a dog in my life have had many versions of these. Used to get one & it would last years. Now lasts weeks/month. Fabric is softer/less sturdy leading to ease destruction. The fabric collars that separate the two rubber balls inside & seals the 2 balls in the fabric shell tend to separate where stitched together – I have a fix for that which GREATLY increases the life of these that is simple, easy, inexpensive.Zip ties. I get whatever size is cheapest in a 20 pack. I zip tie the bottom fabric gasket & a 2nd to retain form/separate the 2 balls (smaller from larger). Any sharp edges on the zip ties can be softened or rounded to prevent injury by melting & molding sharp edges smooth in the hard plastic zip ties with a wand lighter (just practice safety). This saved one Kong that was 8 years old @ another that was days old from this seller (when both wouldâve been trash-bound).These are then good for fetch, tug, shaking. For those dogs that tend to lie there & destroy (I.e. puppies/adolescent ~ 1 yr old âdestructive stageâ) – these will need supervision & removal to prevent shredding/eating the flappy material & help teach appropriate play.

DELIGHTED DARLING DALLAS
Kong Wubba X-Large was my Big Euro Dobie, Bear’s, favorite toy. Just moved and my new neighbor, Dallas, is a gorgeous female Dobie mix. She was found along with 5 siblings tied to a post in a very hot Texas location – rescued but bound for a kill shelter but all puppies were snatched from the jaws of death by a real rescue group. Not surprising – that she does not react well to strangers. Her Mom and Dad agreed to work with me to become her friend. Real Meat Venison Jerky provided to pet parents so she wouldn’t be surprised then brought the treats back to me for dispensation. That softened her up for the ultimate toy surprise – the Kong Wubba – she was ecstatic with the squeak and carried it around for at least ten minutes squeaking the entire time. When she dropped it to play tug of war with her Mom, several times she approached me and gave me a kind of nose kiss – too soon for licks – after all, she’s quite the lady. And – whoever abandoned those puppies have earned and will suffer big time super ugly karma so I don’t have to wish anything bad for him or her or they,

I buy this once a monthâ¦.
I have to buy one or two a month because my pittie destroys it in a matter of 15 minutes each time!! Itâs not great for super chewers at all. We went through about 11 of them before we decided she can only play with us, not by herself. However, I keep on buying them because the ONLY ball she likes (and is OBSESSED with) is the larger, softer ball inside! So we have to always make sure we have at least 3 on hand!
