A nice safety addition to your bike kit
This is one of those tools you should have, but never want to use. I have never had to use mine, so I cannot comment on if they work. I can say the container ins suitable small. Easy to store. Works well, but not for too long
I bought this kit and recently used it. By way of background, i generally ride mountain bike on roads, with tire pressure at 40 psi. Not sure, but that might be a factor i what I observed…. Story starts with me getting a puncture. The tire sealant was able to initially stop it (I got off the bike and rotated the tire so the hole was at the nadir), but it kept opening up again. Finally decided to try this kit. Reamed out the hole, and inserted the “bacon”. Worked great and got home fine. About a week later, I had not ridden and when i checked the tire, the pressure was low and the bacon had been extruded from the hole, so that it was almost completely squeezed out of the tire. I put a new strip of bacon in and headed out for a ride. Was good for a couple of hours and then the new bacon was forced out of the hole. Was also very hot (Texas); not sure if that makes the bacon more malleable. In summary, works fine as a temp solution for my circumstances. Another useful tool in my belt. I may next try one of the kits with a metal tip on the bacon, which keep the bacon from being extruded through the hole. Have fun!

Just a bit difficult …
Nice product. Lightweight and rugged. Orange color should be easy to locate in my camelbak or if I drop it on trail. Had a little difficulty extracting the bacon bits (plugs) out of the case. Was able to do so eventually using the insertion tool. Might be a bit aggravating on the trail, but manageable.

This is a product that you NEVER want to use. Unfortunately, I did. On a longer gravel ride, a riding buddy developed a leak in a tire and was losing sealant at a pretty good rate. Out comes the KOM plugger! It took 3 plugs because of the size of the puncture (and we didn’t know what we were doing), but we made it back home safely.I can say that this tool was very easy to use and worked exactly as it should have. Pro tip: use the “file” end to rough up the puncture a little and the plug will adhere to the tire better.Very light and slim and easy to store.
