More Entertainment than Education
This kit is fine for entertainment purposes and to pique interest in science but I wouldn’t recommend it specifically for an educational tool for a few reasons. The kit comes packaged in a cardboard box that has a little carrying strap; convenient enough for storage. Inside, the included experiment pieces are accompanied by a little booklet that gives instruction and some random information for each experiment. This is the part I don’t care for. The information is laid out in little colored boxes. Some experiments include an explanation of why the experiment worked or what’s happening during the experiment, which I would expect for a science kit, while others offer no information at all besides the how-to. Others include little notes and other random bits of info but it just isn’t consistent throughout the 50 experiments. There were also a few spelling errors.Overall, this is a cute little kit for young children who want to try out some random science experiments that may, or may not, help develop an interest in science. Unfortunately, the design is more suited to use for just a fun little afternoon activity rather than actually learning the science.

Good value for the money
Did not like that the âexperimentsâ were very similar to each other in a lot of them. And be aware that you will need some of your own supplies.

where is the crystalline powder?!
There is no crystal powder in the set! I bought the set to make a tree! I can’t make it, there is no crystal powder!

We have 3 grandkids who are all good with experiments.
I gave this kit to all of the and the have to take turns performing the experiments. Their ages are 12, 13, and 5. After each experiments the discuss what just happened and why, Great for a 1st kit and plan the get better tea ones as they progress. Knowledge is always a great value.

Nella descrizione era indicata la presenza di istruzioni in piú lingue: non è vero. Molti esperimenti descritti richiedono componenti che nel kit non sono presenti. Vivamente sconsigliato

A wide variety of investigations which mostly require minimum extras

A pesar de la descripción y de haber contactado directamente con el vendedor quién confirmo que las instrucciones están en español, no es cierto.

I got this for my littel brother for christmas and I canât recommend it. A lot of the instructions are false, or the list of needed ingredients donât match with whats then actually used in the experiment. For example the Experiment âFoam Explosionâ says in the ingredients to use baking soda etc. but then the Instructions suddenly say to use laundry detergent first ? While that is a small mistake, a person who has no idea about chemistry might get confused and think itâs them being stupid but in reality the Instructions are mixing ingredients up or not telling you all needed ingredients! In the same experiment it says to put the citric acid and then the laundry detergent in the cup (thats already filled with water) and then to put the food coloring in it! By the time you put the citric acid in the cup, it will already start bubbling over, the reaction already happend and there is no need anymore for any food coloring cause its to late! And then it says to put more baking soda in the cup, after it says to put the food coloring in it? The foam explosion already happend, why put more baking soda inside ? Once again if youâre not familiar with chemistry on at least a high school level, a person may think the experiments are failling cause they are stupid or didnât read the instructions right. Also the Instructions for the Crystal Tree is completely missing! How did that happen? Or are you just supposed to know what to do? If you got the kit and donât know what to do: With the markers of the kit, draw on your tree and put it inside the little box they gave you in the little Tree growing kit. Now open one of the three clear bags with the liquid inside and gently pour the liquid over the tree and make sure that the whole tree is covered in the liquid. Me and my brother used 1 and a half of the 3 bags cause otherwise the liquid would overflow. As someone pointed out the experiments are very similar to each other, so its not really 50 Experiments but rather about 30 (I think). Also while this is a small pitnick I donât like the fact that there is no Explantation for the science behind the experiments. So if you donât understand chemistry, physics and a little biologie (for example I study chemistry and biologie at college) you canât really explain why something happend. And with misinformation and AI going around in the internet you may not find the correct explanation online. So yeah if you have knowledge about chemistry, the mistakes are managable cause you know how to do it correctly. But even then you canât just read the instructions and do it, you yourself have to think and check if there are any mistakes and thats just not worth the money (if you ask me). If you however do not know a single thing about chemistry I would never buy this.
