Now retired from the show ring me and my miniature horses go on long trail walks. I needed something that would help keep me cool as well as something I could ride in, if one of my friends with a full size horse was with and offered to switch. These tights are very soft and comfortable allowing me to walk and climb hills with lots of movement. I do feel cooler when wearing them and they seem to dry quicker than normal pants after walking through streams. The cute grippy carrots are great help for staying in the saddle and of course you can always appreciate having pockets large enough for a cellphone.I personally have been hand washing mine after reading a few reviews saying there was problems with picking of the fabric. I haven’t have any issues with pilling or picking and I’m careful to keep Velcro away from the tights. They are a bit delicate it feels so I will also make sure not to be going through very brushy trails when wearing them. I would still recommend them for all around use and they are made in the USA!

surprisingly nice!
I was hesitant to get these summer weight tights. I actually find them to be comfortable, grippy in the saddle and yet soft . They are not “too thin” or skimpy, the fabric is not see thru, it is opaque and substantial but not heavy weight. These fit nicely, the waistband sits below my waist and is comfortable not to tight, does not create an indent in my less than super-fit belly. (doesn’t create a muffin top, in other words) they are long enough, I’m 5’7″, and I may order another pair!

I am so pleased with these tights. They’re super comfortable, breathable, and flattering. The ‘ice’ padding on the inside of the leg noticeably makes a difference in improving your seat. It does have an almost ‘sticky’ kind of friction to it, which some riders may not like, especially if your thighs touch while walking. Personally, I didn’t find the sticky friction bothersome. Also, these tights come with pockets (a huge plus); they’re secure yet roomy enough for large phones. I will be buying more colors!

Best Breeches EVER
I LOVE these breeches. They are my favorite to wear for so many reasons.1. The pants just stay up and perfect on your waist. I am SO picky about this because I don’t want to be pulling my pants up while I am riding ever. They even have the option to add a belt if you like your pants locked down.2. The plastic little carrots on the booty keep you in the saddle…. it’s amazing! no slipping at all.3. I was very skeptical about how these pants would keep me “cool” in the hot California sun. When you first put them on they seem like they would keep you warm. Honestly, these breeches are great in all weather keep me warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather… i don’t understand how they accomplished that, some hoodini magic going on here.4. The most comfortable pants ever. I even fell alseep in these.Great product. need them in all colors. if youre thinking of buying i HIGHLY reccomend, you won’t regret it.

Nice Tights!
These were great during our humid/hot Summer.This was the first time trying out riding tights – I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous. However, the humidity was terrible, so I decided to pull the trigger on these. My usual breech are the Cadence by Irideon – these are compression breeches, which I love so much (I swear, I look 10lbs thinner in them). Additionally, I have long legs, so these fit me the best. Anyway…First impressions…The tights are just what they are, tights – very thin. No compression, at all, which scared me to death. However, I found the waistband very comfortable. Additionally, they did not give the impression they would be very grippy. I had this image in my head that I’d be sliding around in the saddle.In action…When arriving at the barn, I noticed I wasn’t as hot as I was in my irideons. However, riding was interesting as they did not grip like my irideons. After a few rides, I did get used to them. In fact, I started to appreciate the lack of grip they provided, as I felt freer in the saddle and they forced me to keep myself in the saddle – which i think helped my riding.Fit…As stated before, I’m a taller rider. the length is perfect for me. However, they fit larger than expected – not terribly so, but I’d order a size down next time. The downside is that these don’t make me look like I lost 10lbs like my irideons do.I gave these a 4 star rating because I only wore them for a few months. While they held up / washed up nicely, I cannot comment on longevity yet. However, these will be my “Summer” breeches!

My favorites for the hot weather.
These really are cooling in the Boise hot dry Sun. Hands down my favorite summer riding tights! They are remarkably thin but have stood up to lots of machine washing over the summer. Have always air-dried. Except once I was in a hurry and threw them in the dryer on low for a few minutes and they were fine and dry. One 98 degree day I put them on wet and they felt great on my way out to the barn. My other favorite part is they are long and they stay put. I appreciate the belt loops but have never needed them. I am 5 10 with 34 in inseam.

Great Tights with a Phone Pocket!!
These are GREAT riding tights. Comfortable like a yoga pant, but firm enough for riding… my favorite part is the pocket (which fits a smart phone!). The silicon bits are not super sticky, which is fine for me… but if you’re trying to get your breeches to hold you in the saddle, these are probably not for you. Great, lightweight material… I’ll even wear them to work (with a long tunic or cardigan) with tall boots after riding. 🙂

Kerrits Size Chart – Is it correct?
I’ve been a fan of these Kerrits products and ordered size Medium in the past (regardless of what the Kerrits size chart says). However ordering Medium in recent orders, felt too tight on me. I’m 5’4″ and weigh 130. In new orders, have ordered size Large and they seemed to fit well. However, this order in Large was way too tight on my legs and ankles, so I returned it. Makes you wonder if there is consistency in manufacture?

I love Kerrits and am very familiar with fit etc . My only disappointment with these “poppy” colored ones would be that they look much redder in the picture and when you see them compared to my gloves , which are a true red , they are almost rust colored
