Well made and warm. Water resistant, not water proof.
These gloves are well made and warm. I really like the fit and the option to open the finger tips and thumbs. Especially so because I’m left handed and both hands have the option and are smart phone compatible. Very nice! They have a sticky grip on the inside and a velcro close on the wrist. Another nice thing is the clip to hook them together so you don’t lose one of them. It is well made. The camo pattern is cool looking. I’d say they are great gloves for ice fishing.

Best All-Around Fishing Glove!!
As an avid angler who frequently faces chilly weather conditions, I recently invested in these gloves and they have proven to be an indispensable asset to my cold-weather fishing gear, these gloves have exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and comfort. The gloves’ design strikes an impressive balance between insulation and flexibility. Despite their robust protection against the cold, the gloves allow for precise finger movement (allowing for three fingers to be taken off and attached to the back of the finger), enabling me to handle fishing gear, tie knots, and manipulate small tackle with ease. The addition of touch-sensitive fingertips is a thoughtful feature, allowing me to operate my smartphone or other touch-sensitive devices without having to remove the gloves. While the KastKing Mountain Mist Fishing Gloves may be marketed as cold-weather gear, I have found them versatile enough to be used in various conditions. Whether facing frosty mornings, cool evenings, or even light rain, these gloves have consistently delivered top-notch performance.

Great glove for fishing/ outdoors
Received well packaged, and in a timely manner. The gloves are exactly as the picture is shown. The three open middle, index, and thumb fingers are great for grasping the finer things such as line, tackle, bait, and more. These also allow you to scroll on your phone, or cast easily without having to take your gloves off. The pattern is nice with the inside grips on the glove along with the velcro to hold the finger tip openings back. What I like most is that they keep your hands warm while being versitle to use for picking things up, and using your phone. What I like least about the gloves is the stiffness of the gloves themselves. The glove itself feels very stiff at times and could be a bit loose. If your a large I might suggest a medium glove for a better fit.Overall: I gave four stars due the gloves feeling a bit stiff for my liking. If they had half stars It would be more like a 4.5. Excellent glove compared to many other brands though for price. Great for outdoors, fishing, hunting, cold weather, etc.

Good gloves with a few caveats
I used the sizing guide to order a Large size and they fit my hands well. I have not yet had a chance to use these for fishing, but used them outside at home on a 38 degree day. They have a very thin layer of neoprene on the palm side, good for warmth and dexterity, but the back is lycra and did almost nothing to keep my hands warm. Most definitely wouldn’t wear these for winter steelhead fishing in Oregon. Maybe a chilly summer morning. There are embossed grippers, maybe vinyl of some sort, which are great for giving a good grip. Excellent wide velcro wrist closure. While the flip up finger tips sounded like a good idea, they performed less well than I had hoped. They were easy to open up and pull my finger and thumb tips out, but getting them covered back up was more of a chore than it sound have been. With the finger tips closed up, like a full-fingered glove, velcro is left exposed on the tops of the fingers that open and the thumb. It catches on everything. Do not put your gloved hand in a fleece lined pocket. It was a fight to get my hand back out. Also, the finger and thumb covers make those digits longer. That left those parts of the glove too long for my fingers and resulted in little dexterity and clumsy movements trying to pick things up. So, while they looked good, and seem well thought out, I just don’t see using them for fly fishing, the only type of fishing that I do. Might work better for bait casting, etc. but I don’t know. I will probably use them for gardening, car work, or yard work on cool days. Cold weather will call for something else.

Great for chilly fall fishing.
Solid pair of gloves, and the cutouts for your fingers are convenient.I bought them to use on my kayak in the fall months. Theyâre very comfy and the grip is good for paddling. So far, Iâve used them on the water with the temperature in the high 40s. Theyâve worked great to protect against the wind when the sun starts to go down.Theyâre not waterproof, though. (I decided to find out first hand my first time using them.) Theyâd be good against light rain, snow, handling of fish or general splashing from kayaking, but definitely donât dunk them in the water. That said, even though my hand was cold and wet, it did warm up nicely after a minute. After having my paddle secured to the side of my kayak for a about an hour, I could definitely feel the cold paddle through the gloves (dry this time), but it was much better than not having them.Iâm not sure how warm theyâd be once the temps get down into the 30s, but theyâre comfy for what Iâve used them for so far, and I expect theyâll be good when I get them on the river for steelhead.
