Outstanding Smart Plugs
I am about to purchase my fourth set of these Kasa Smart Mini Plugs. Not only have I attached them to various lights throughout my house but also my sisterâs home, too. I was an early adapter of Wemo smart plugs. They were expensive and not very reliable as far as responding to Alexa routines and they completely failed at some point. The Kasa plugs are at a very nice price and very rarely fail to respond to commands (which I believe has more to do with my wi-fi hub occasionally going glitchy.) The Kasa plugs are incredibly easy to add to a network. The devices are small and fit in just about any space. They have an override button to turn them on in case your wi-fi goes out.

Impressive product, impressive support
I’m very impressed with this product, and that it’s offered at such a low price. I haven’t even tested most of its capabilities — for controlling one’s appliances — as my need is simply to be tracking my electricity costs. For that alone, the software is well thought-out, and it’s working perfectly.There’s obviously a good company behind this product. The setup was very easy and well explained. And the customer support is quite something. I used their chat feature to report a small bug. Kristine, with the help of others in her department, was in touch with me several times the first day, and again the day afterward, to resolve my problem. It’s the most responsive tech support I’ve encountered in all my many years.

Great Smart Plug and App. Painful Setup.
I ordered and installed four TP-Link Kasa EP25’s. Once installed, the Kasa app was a pleasure to use. The energy monitor feature allows me to check on the power being used by a window air conditioner. The other 3 smart plugs are being used to turn on/off a subwoofer and to remotely reboot a network router and printer.I spent 4 frustrating hours over two days trying to install of the first smart plug using the default and recommended instructions. The default process for the EP25 may be required if you are using Apple HomeKit. The Kasa app could not find nor connect to the smart plug when using the recommended WiFi setup option (as shown in the iPhone Kasa App). Various on-line recommendations talked about waiting 15 minutes for the HomeKit process to timeout. That still did not work. Finally, I found a recommendation on a TP-Link forum saying to SELECT BLUETOOTH for adding the smart plug to the Kasa app. Of course Bluetooth is only used for setup, and my iPhone controls the smart plugs using WiFi and cellular.

Easy to install and works exceedingly well.
Great product. Works exceedingly well when paired with Kasa Mobile App. Convenient to control household appliances. App has timer and scheduling features which makes it easy to automate turning off and on. Loved the “vacation” feature in the app that turns lights “on & off” at random intervals to mimic someone being at home 😉

Wow, leave it to tp to come up with amazing product.Easy to install, durable and, simply, the best product of its kind in the market, believe you me, Iâve tried so many different products and returned them all after major disappointments.With this, I feel spoiled and cannot stop myself from calling on Alexa to turn on then off the floor and table lamps connected to those smart plugs, I give this product 10 out 5 stars.BS: tp customer support is so friendly, knowledgeable and walked through setting up one plug out of the four and I was able to handle the other three, piece of cake. Iâm sooooooo proud of myself.

These are Fantatic and Make Life Easier!
I may be late to the party but we are in the middle of selling our house and with each showing are supposed to turn on every light in the house. Well, I got tired of that pretty quickly! I bought two boxes of these plugs and set up all the lamps in the house on these smart plugs. Itâs so easy now! I canât believe it took selling our house to try these. I love that you can turn things on and off through the app – even when you arenât home. They also work perfectly with Alexa. There was already a Alexa skill set up for this brand which made set up with her a breeze. I bought another brand to try out as well and ended up returning those. The app that goes with this brand works better and their actual shape is rectangular (not round like the other one) which can make a difference depending on your outlet situation. These were also easier to set up. Only negative was the actual set up was not entirely simple (the directions were a bit off) and I had to google for help. Once I knew what I was doing it was 1-2-3. Love these!

Nice Concept, Software Needs work
While the concept is great, the execution needs work. The plugs are sometimes difficult to connect to wifi. The first plug went fine, the rest needed a few tries to get connected to wifi. And it would be nice if all four plugs in the package could be set up together. The app is buggy. In many cases it did not save the names, locations and other setting, so they had to be entered multiple times. And some features either don’t work or only work intermittently.

First of all, it is nice that this product does not cover the whole socket. Hooking up to wifi was very easy and within minutes it was operational. Put them in my soffit socket so no more ladder to plug and unplug anything.
