It works!
I never write a review, but I’m making an exception in this case. I have terrible nails but this one in particular is problematic. It has a vertical ridge left of center and it splits at that point, as you can see in the photo. It’s been this way for several years and, according to what I’ve read, it’s due to an injury and will probably never heal.I’ve tried everything. I don’t get manicures so it’s all been DYI. I’ve tried glue, nail hardener, nail polish and polish strips, the tea bag fix, bandaids, keeping it trimmed as far down as possible etc. It catches on everything – my hair, my clothes, my bedding – and I’m terrified that it will snag on something and get ripped down the ridge to the quick.I scoured Amazon shopping for something that would protect it and perhaps let it grow out. This product had good reviews and the pictures showed pretty good results, so I ordered it.Application was easy. The first time I did it, it was a bit clumpy, but not bad for a first try. Other reviews said the nail buffer supplied wasn’t the best, so I used my 4 sided buffer block. When I was done it, didn’t look bad, just a bit thick. But it stayed on for 2 weeks. After about 10 days, I could see the gap between my cuticle and the bottom of the artificial nail and it was starting to come off. By the time I could sit down and replace it, the artificial nail was loose enough that I could coax it off without damaging the nail beneath. You’re not supposed to do that, so I’m not suggesting you use that method as you can pull up layers of the natural nail and damage it..I wish I’d taken a picture of how my nail looked after 2 weeks, but I didn’t think of it. However, I noticed that I had growth that looked like the split was healing, with layers on the underside. The 2nd picture shows the new artifical nail, 2 applications of the product, and sanded and buffed. You can see a faint line of where the split is.I’m shocked, I tell you, shocked that this worked so well! It’s stupidly simple to apply the glue and dip the nail into the powder. Where a bit of skill is required is the shaping and buffing, which will come with practice. I’ll try to update this as I go along as I’m anxious to see what happens to my natural nail.I’m more than satisfied. I give it 10 stars, if I could!âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸

Quick & Easy!
I needed to replace damaged nail to protect the very thin layer of nail left over my nail bed. I am not a nail person so needed something easy to use and had to get it right the first time as digging it out if it failed would be too risky given the very thin/soft nail underneath. I brushed the gel in the area I needed to fill, dipped it in the powder and repeated a second time. After quickly drying, I filed it smooth and applied cuticle oil and lotion to the skin as I was a bit messy with the gel. It looks great with minimal buffing and the filled area is hard/strong, which will protect my thin nail bed. Definitely recommend for this type of fix!!

takes some getting used to but works
i bought this for a nail that wanted to come off. i dropped something heavy on my thumb and the nail split straight across the middle horizontally about half way. i didn’t want to pull it off because the split is pretty low on the nail but things kept catching on the broken edge (hair, clothes, anything) and pulling it up further and painfully. i bought this to keep the nail flat and attached until it grows out enough to cut at the tear.this works but it takes some practice. i have to remove it and redo it every few days (acetone soaked cotton ball and tinfoil for 10 minutes then it peels right off) because the nail eventually pushes through but that’s given me time to practice and get the technique down. make sure that you apply it evenly, but i add a little extra glue to the edge of the nail where the crack starts because it wants to pop up pretty badly. avoid cuticles and surrounding skin as much as possible, the glue won’t adhere to your skin and will pop up giving you a rough edge and a can be annoying. you can file that down but careful of your skin. i use two coats to increase the strength.

What Iâve been looking for!
I love having my nails done with a short tip but Iâve had an impossible time finding a salon that does them the way I like and can make them durable enough – I use & wash my hands a ton. This stuff is fantastic. Glad I bought it after reading the positive reviews. Really easy to apply. Takes some work with the file to get them smooth but they hold up GREAT and are easy to fill as they grow out. The buffer included is the best Iâve used. I put a sheer light iridescent polish over it and itâs the best my nails have looked. Even after paying $$$ at various salons.

Not for a Split/Tearing Nail Rescue
Overall this is a good product if you just have brittle and bendy nails, AND itâs super easy to use and doesnât take a lot of time at allâwhich is why I have this 3 stars. Unfortunately I was looking for a product to help when I split a nail on the side or even down the middle but this is not it. It states to keep adding layers for firmer protection but more than 2 layers looks bulky and fairly obvious. After two thick layers it seemed to work for about two hours then my nail just finished tearing off with all the product I put on it. It left me with a slow peeling layer on the remaining nail which looks weird but not too much of my complaint. ALSO if you donât plan to paint your nails or donât plan to use this product on every nail then it will be very obvious/sticks out on the one or two nails you use. I didnât realize that it would maintain a frosty look and I canât paint my nails for the life of me so I was stuck for a couple hours with that one nail.

This product is quite messy and hard to use… the first time I had fingers stuck together. The second time was a bit easy as I only applied to the cracked nail but it didn’t fix it. Now I’ll have to wait until that layer wears off before trying again.

Itâs almost like SNS, but hardens like acrylic nails. Youâll need to buff it quite a lot to get a smooth finish
