Best kitchen tool
Our favorite tool! It being fully stainless steel makes it durable. It’s extremely comfortable and easy to press. Perfect minced garlic every time. Cleaning it is a breeze!

cleans easy; stores nice.
Same as sold at Sur La Table but about 1/2 the price!! Works best with fresh garlic. Needs some muscle, but easier than hand gripping ones. Recommend.

Nice
It is very nice and sturdy. It works well. I only gave 4 stars because the holes are larger than small minced garlic should be. But all in all it does work well.

So effective
Love this garlic crusher! It cleans up nicely but make sure you dry it after washing so it doesn’t rust. I use a soft scrubber with water and mild dish soap. No need to put it in the dishwasher since I use it only for garlic. I use a lot of garlic. Love the taste but not the smell on my hands. Even with this rocker I still use gloves. It is very easy to use. Rinse and pat dry garlic. Place the garlic pod under the rocker then rock back and forth using the East/West handles, and wallah. Works great for arthritic hands too.

Less hassle to use than a garlic press
Love this kitchen tool! I find it much simpler to use than a garlic press â way less fussing around to efficiently crank out multiple cloves of minced garlic. You can just mash out clove after clove until the top fills with the minced garlic then neatly scoop it into your prep dish with a spoon. (I don’t understand what another reviewer was talking about when he said it’s not very good for large quantities â “… it gets pretty messy.” Huh??? For me, this works better for large quantities of garlic than anything else I’ve used, including just a good ol’ chef knife. I’ve had no problems with it “getting messy”.)The working part of this tool is flatter and more accessible, so it’s easier to clean than a typical garlic press. If it takes any more than just a forceful rinse to clean out all the holes, I keep a toothbrush near the kitchen sink to give it a quick scrub and that’s usually all it takes. It also helps to rinse it out right after being used instead of letting it sit for a spell before cleaning. Garlic juice becomes sticky when it dries. However, note that this tool will produce more of a minced garlic, rather than crushed/mashed garlic. Usually, I prefer minced, but some of my recipes call for really well-mashed garlic, so I still keep a garlic press handy, but the vast majority of the time, I’ll be using this little kitchen gem. I’ll probably be ordering more to give as Christmas gifts.

Different But Not Necessarily Better
I think it’s a nice little gadget but I honestly don’t think I can say it’s any better than the alternatives. I got this as an easy way to mince garlic for recipes since you can’t beat fresh garlic, but chopping can be a pain. Mincing takes a good bit of pressure but isn’t hard or uncomfortable because of the ergonomics. The issue for me though is that it’s not helping me mince garlic any faster. It usually works fine for 1 or 2 cloves but any more than that and it starts getting clogged with cloves getting stuck to the bottom only halfway through the holes. Maybe there’s a learning curve to it? In my experience though, I already have a knife out anyways to smash the cloves and make them easy to peel so it’s usually just as fast, if not faster, to just mince it with the knife. It could maybe save you time mincing a large amount of garlic but at the point you’re better off mincing in a mini chopper or food processor.I feel like this product definitely has a market of people that will find it very useful and it’s not a bad tool, but for the average able bodied person like myself I don’t see much benefit to owning it. Not something to avoid but assess your needs first because it’s not something that’ll save you time, it’ll help you if you struggle to mince garlic with a knife or traditional press.

Simplicity is the best feature
I only buy things for my kitchen that are high quality and long lasting. This is one of those “buy it for life” things since it’s stainless steel and has no moving parts. The “normal” garlic press design is definitely quicker and easier to use, but hard to clean and prone to either breaking or not working as well after years of use. With this press, I simply cut each clove in half to create a flat surface, then press with the rocker. With a small spoon you can easily scrape the garlic pieces off. Cleaning is easy as long as you do it immediately and have a scrubbing brush with stiff bristles. What I love the most about this press is that the minced garlic is slightly larger than the pieces a traditional press makes.

Easy to use, woks well
Garlic press is thick strong stainless steel, cuts well, fairly large pieces, can cut twice if smaller chunks desired, scrape off both sides with a spoon. I really like it; high quality item at a good price.

I’ve tried garlic presses in the past and found them fiddly, difficult to clean and (in one case) simply too flimsy to do the job properly. But this one is excellent!Easy to use.Easy to clean.Strong enough to do the job properly, without risk of slipping or of the handles being bent out of shape.Definitely recommended.I would give it more than 5 stars, if I could!

Das Produkt tut an sich seinen Dienst soweit gut. Leider befinden sich jedoch an beiden Enden bzw. “Griffen” mehrere tiefere Einkerbungen.

Iâve been cooking dinners pretty much daily for 9 months already and all of my recipes require garlic. I was tired of chopping it myself and dealing with the strong odour on my fingers, I had a traditional garlic crasher too but it would waste too much garlic and crashed it too small. This one is perfect for everyday recipes:+1. It crashes all garlic into small ovals which are pretty much the size of chopped garlic (not too small or large).2. It is super easy to clean, just like the picture shows. Nothing gets stuck in it.3. It is from stainless steel and looks like a good quality. Iâve been using it daily for a couple of months and it looks like itâs really durable.-1. It does require you to apply a medium level of pressure to crash the garlic. So, for instance, if you have some sort of a wrist injury preventing you from applying force, it may be challenging. Also, my 6 yo child couldnât apply enough pressure to do this. However, this should not be a problem for an average adult.
