High quality efficient & effective air purifier
We ordered this for our master bedroom and I am beyond happy with it. It was almost effortless to set up and essentially a plug and play air purifier. There is a plastic bag around the filter so it’s very important to remove that before plugging in the air purifier.Once unboxed and ready to use that air purifier is so simple and straight forward to use. The companion app is relatively easy to set up and utilize. The purifier conveniently has a QR code on the back which makes app installed super easy. Once the purifier is plugged and in connected to the app it can be controlled through both the app or the touch buttons onto of the purifier.The purifier works impressively well! The air quality in our entire master suite is noticeably better! I like that the purifier has an auto adapt function so if the air quality goes down the purifier starts filtering at a higher/quicker level. When I burn a candle or use our essential oil diffuser the purifier kicks up a notch and filters air at a higher rate. The purifier also constantly displays the air quality number on display so when our essential oil diffuser is on for a prolonged amount of time the air quality goes down and the purifier kicks into a higher gear to filter air faster to get it back down to a healthy number. That being said the purifier actually has its own little essential oil diffuser component which is pretty cool! The diffuser function works much better than mist diffusers and doesn’t pollute the air like other mist style diffusers.The purifier is impressively quiet when it’s constantly running. 99% of the time I barely notice the purifier is on. When it kicks up into workings hard when the air quality goes down it does get louder but, it’s not too bad. At its loudest point I would compare it to a plug in fan.All in all this air purifier is incredible! It works impressively well and is super easy to utilize. It’s just as good if not better than our Bosch air purifier! Would absolutely highly recommend this purifier! It’s fantastic and will not disappoint!!

This is a great purifier. The app connection was immediate- that was a huge relief. Love controlling it from my phone. There is cool air coming fromThe purifier so I wonât keep it close to me in the winter .My favorite part is the aroma insert area – you can use any of your own essential oils in the tray itâs amazing !!And I know the purifier works bc when we use any cooking spray (which is rare) it gets to working and the stats go up.

One of the best I’ve owned… with one caveat.
I have owned at least seven of these types of air purifiers. Some are much better than others. This one is one of the best I’ve owned, but there is a caveat. Let me start with the good. The purifier is whisper quiet on the lowest setting, reasonably quiet on the middle setting, and fairly loud but manageable when moved to its highest setting. All of these are to be expected with these purifiers. I appreciate the app that comes with this. It uses the Smart Life app to connect to the device. It paired quickly and is intuitive to navigate. You can do several things through the app (like turn it on and off, etc.). Change many of the settings. It is obvious that a good deal of thought went into the design of this app.Now, for the “caveat.” The LED light strip is on the top of the unit. It lights up green, blue, yellow, or red, depending on the quality of the air that it senses. When set to “Auto”, the fan will adjust its speed according to the quality of the air it senses. The dirtier the air, the higher the fan speed. As it filters the contaminants, the fan speed reduces. It’s a good thing. Unfortunately, the length and brightness of the strip (even at 50%) are too bright at night. It lights up the whole room. This makes it difficult to sleep. You can turn off the light completely, but then, the sensor display is turned of also. I want to be able to turn off or greatly dim the LED without turning off the display. I found a solution to this issue. Amazon sells a tape that goes over any LED display which will dim the display by 60% with one layer of tape. 90% with 2 layers of tape. You can see in my second photo the difference it made. I put two layers on most of the LED strip and one layer on the last bit you see to dim it. The LED brightness is set to 50% using the app.With the addition of the tape, I can confidently give this product 5 stars. It’s been awesome so far and is far and away my favorite purifier to date.

This is the perfect size and throughput for a bedroom, which is where I keep mine. The filter is very easy to install into the purifier and the overall package has a very small footprint. You can use the wifi functionality to control it if you want, I personally think that is too much hassle when I can just walk over and change it so I leave that alone but it is an option. The touchscreen controls are responsive and intuitive, so just using them instead has not been a problem at all.The air quality reading on this device is very sensitive, which is great! I tried keeping it on while cooking and it started ramping up very quickly once I put something on the pan and it started smoking a bit etc. It can ramp up quite a bit when it detects poor air quality and gets very loud when it does so. Fortunately, it also seems to have pretty good throughput as it drops down to more reasonable noise levels quite quickly. Speaking of noise, sleep mode on this thing is excellent. Barely any noise (I have left it on sleep for days at a time because I simply forget it is there) and still decent cleaning power.

This is my first time trying out an air purifier that automatically detects AND visually shows the air purity level – it is very satisfying to see it indicate and then adapt to the air quality and clean it. I didn’t test it scientifically but, empirically speaking, I think it is accurate because I noticed that the air purifier indicates the air quality to be bad in the morning on weekdays (this was during a month where there was construction in a building nearby) but shows the air quality to be good (or moderately good) on the weekend (when the construction site is on pause).It looks very neat – I got the rose gold one but it’s basically mostly white with just one border in rose gold (not very noticeable so I would just call it a white air purifier). And, as mentioned above, it indicates the level of cleanliness of the air through a colour code so that adds lights visually too.It doesn’t look bulky at all and the sides are flat and therefore easy to wipe clean. It’s also surprisingly compact and light.It’s really well-made; the screen has all the important functions you would expect from a good air purifier and I particularly like how it is easy to open and close the air filter part. I think they use some type of magnet because as soon as I even lightly press the cover it closes and locks right away.One thing that could be improved though is the instructions manual. The choice of vocabulary is not the most precise, in my opinion, and instructions could definitely be clearer. I have another air purifier and the setup is very similar (I think most of them work the same way) so it was fine to figure out how to set it up but, if it is your first air purifier and you are confused by the instructions, don’t panic – it’s relatively easy. I’ll give you a quick summary but you can also definitely find more visual instructions online:1. Remove the stickers that are holding the filter cover close.2. Open the back cover (the logo is on the front so the back is the side without logo).3. You will find the filter inside but it is in a plastic bag. So remove it from the plastic bag and then put it back where you found it. There are arrows indicating which way it should be put.4. Close the cover (there is a sort of magnetic pull so just press gently and it should close easily).5. Plug in the air purifier.6. Connect to wifi if you wish (totally optional).7. Turn it on by pressing the on/off button on the screen and voila!8. The colour will indicate the quality of the air (green for excellent and red for bad and blue and yellow are basically in-between) and therefore you might notice that the fan sometimes runs more quietly and sometimes more strongly – that’s totally normal on auto mode. You can set it to quiet/sleep mode if you prefer it to run more quietly too.Overall, I really like this air purifier and think it is smartly designed and I like that you can use it with or without wifi. The only thing that I think should be improved is the instructions manual.

The thinner profile makes it look a bit smaller. The larger size provides a bigger air filter area which makes it more efficient when filtering air. It looks nice and has a high quality look and fell to it. The functions are basic and easy to use. All functions are accessed through the top touch screen, which can be turned off or on. That allows it to be dark for night use. There is a LED light bar on top that shows the status of the filter. It provides a nice indicator and is dimmed or turned off with the screen. The screen output gives air quality readings as well as filter percentage remaining and fan speed. There are also timer functions so it can be set to turn off after a set amount of time with preset intervals.The filter was very quiet when first turned on. It started on auto which was in low mode and I could feel the air movement. I was able to cycle through low, med, high, and auto settings for speed. Low mode was very quiet such that I could hardly hear it working. The medium speed was noticeably louder and the high speed sounded like a small jet engine. The high speed did move a lot of air. I wouldn’t use it at that speed due to the loud sound but I could see it being used if you needed to filter a lot of impurities out of the air in a hurry.The air filter has an app. I was able to easily add the filter to the app and set and monitor all functions. It connected the filter to the wifi system and contained the ability to schedule on-off times as well as access all the functions that were available through the screen on the device. The app worked well and provided quick access to all the functions and it is nice that it isn’t needed to actually use the filter.

And that 1 thing is the fact that theres 3 fan speeds for this thing, and the first one is VERY minimal, the second one is maybe 10-15% above that, and the last one is LIKE A FRIGGEN WIND TUNNEL its so aggressive and loud. It seems they mis-programmed it as it should have 5 fan speeds or better programmed middle speed as its just not strong enough for the middle speed.Aside from that, my only other con is that it only takes air from the back, however to get the best bang for your buck you have to face the air purifier the opposite way so that its actually pulling all the room air in not just a tiny spot behind the air purifier, so the downside of this is that my air purifier now sits backwards so that its best able to circulate and pull in the most amount of air.The air purifier itself is really well made, I have a few Jafandas in different rooms in my house and im always impressed with the build quality.It takes maybe 3 minutes to setup the first time if you use the APP, the app works great, I also use it with “Hey Google” to adjust the fan speeds (which id love more fan speed options PRETTY PLEASE)I keep the lights off on this one as I use it in my bedroom but you can adjust the brightness of the “ambience” lights.I have NOTICEABLY less dusty, room air feels cleaner, I have to dust way less and just keeping up with the cleanliness of my room is easier overall. I keep the window open for fresh air so it helps to purify whatever is coming into my room.Please please please update the air purifier and add more fan speeds

Comes well packaged and protected agianst any damage. In the box are the air purifier (including HEPA filter), AC mains power adapter, instruction manual and 4 aroma pads if you want to use aromatherapy oils in your unit.The HEPA filter is easy to insert and replace with little effort and initially had a protective plastic cover that needs to be removed before use. Aromatherapy pads can be inserted via a little pop out drawer on the side of the unit, which is very convenient compared to many other purifiers.The JF239 can be manually controlled via the touchscreen on it’s top. It is very simple and intuitively designed. It has an auto speed setting and air monitor which is more advanced than my previous purifier. You can also set speed manually to 3 different levels. The center of the display shows current air particulate levels, so you can easily see how good your air quality currently is. This is also shown via a lighting strip that displays 4 levels of green to red and you can dim or turn off the light strip if you wish. Operation is very quiet at low level and about the volume of an electric fan at the highest level.The JF239 can also be remotely controlled by a downloadable app. The app essentially mimics all the controls from the panel of the unit so you can operate it from your phone.The JF239 really improves the quailty of the air in my apartment and is elegant and unobtrusive. The ease of use compared to my older purifier is great also! Highly recommended.
