Changes time on its own
I bought these to go off one time at night around 11pm. I set them Thurs at 1130pm for 23hrs, meaning to go off once/day. Then Fri night it went off at 1030pm and then tonight they went off at 930pm. Not sure why it can’t stay at 1130. I’ve gone thru this cycle twice now thinking I messed up the first time. Obviously a default and will be returning. 1 star for it working “in theory”.

a few things to know before you set it up
Firstly to take the top cover off you have to put a table knife flat underneath and CAREFULLY lift the cover off, with the knife’s help and NOT where the window is. After you’ve put the food in, put the lid back on carefully until it snaps shut. It has worked well to dispense my cat’s medication twice a day. The first feeder I set at 8AM to dispense every 23:59, so it gives her her 8AM dose every day. The second feeder i set at 8PM to dispense her second dose for the day. It also works well for food at various times of the day. Good feeder for the price.

You canât set it to 24 hours.
It REALLY bothers me that you canât actually set it to 24 hours. The highest you can go is 23 hours and 59 minutes, so if you want your pets fed at a specific time, you have to reset it every day, or let it get one minute off every day and reset the timer every few days. Only one of the machines I received makes the little birdie noises to announce the lid is spinning to open another bowl. It kind of bothers me that the lid is difficult to get off, and it sounds like itâs going to break every time you take it off or put it back together.

Wonderful!
Great for travelers. We put in food and peanut butter covered medicine. The dog got both doses of meds each day, at the right time, and our friends werenât put out handling that on top of walking him. We are continuing to use these due to chaotic schedules and ADHD. Good portion size for small dog (we feed 1/4 cup each meal).
