Lightweight, fast, smooth
The only complaint Iâd have is the slight noise it makes when reeling in the line. Itâs really light weight, surprisingly light actually. The cord/webbing is easy to grab and feeds back in smoothly. Itâs really good quality and I wasnât actually expecting that. The way it works is simple and effective, itâs basically a fishing reel for your gear. I wasnât sure if Iâd like this but I have actually found it to be really useful and I have high expectations moving forward with it. Would buy again if needed, will also be recommending to hunting friends.

Get a better Carabiner -small titanium pjytac black titanium
This really works awesome but needs a better clip. Very small and fits in pocket or clips to anything. Strap is thin but works well and plenty strong enough. I really like how compact it is. Does exactly what itâs supposed to. No more rope to deal with. Love this thing. Buy the PJYTAC black titanium carabiner to go with this and you are set.

Great product, but a couple things to be aware of…
Small, and very useful. Does the job, but there are a couple things to be aware of:1) Don’t use the hand crank like fishing reel to bring in the line while it’s under load. The handle is not strong enough for that. Grab the line with your hands and haul your bow or gun up into the tree by hand…THEN use the crank to wind up the rope while it is slack.2) The belt clip is flimsy. Not something I trust to stay put while using a climbing tree stand. Easy fix. I attached a small carabiner & string in the opposite corner from where the rope feeds. There is a hole for it already molded in the plastic. Now I just clip the unit right to my stand. It should come from the factory this way, but its not worth losing a star over. I would buy it again & recommend it to a friend.

The thought was good. Design was poor.
The hoist does its job, BUT the âribbon doesnât seem too durable. I hoisted my bow and small pack about 20ft. I was genuinely worried about either losing my grip and the ribbon slipping through my hands or maxing the weight out on the ribbon. The retractable wheel is noisy. Recommendation just use a 26ft dog leash save yourself the worry. HSS tried but didnât hit the mark with this one.

This was one of the first items I brought to help out my bow or rifle but I had issues with the String getting caught up when pulling it up

Not 100% secure
Bought this to try out for saddle hunting, it has a pocket knife type clip so itâs never 100% secure. When I got to my spot where I wanted to hunt it was missing. It was either snagged off of me or worked itself off of me while walking in. Iâm sure it functions well, but I recommend carrying it in a pack or pocket and then applying it to yourself once at your spot.

This is an interesting product if used correctly. As the description and other reviews say, DO NOT USE THE CRANK TO BRING UP YOUR BOW OR RIFLE!!! It is not designed for that or strong enough. Hand over hand it up and then use the handle to retract the ribbon. Yes, that is right ‘ribbon’. It is not a cord or a rope. It is a flat ribbon and very light but strong. However, the slightest breeze will send it flying into and around every branch and snag around.When clipped to your belt with your bow left on the ground, the ribbon slips out of the reel well and you don’t feel any drag. However, I have yet to figure out how to let my bow down and have the clip release so that I don’t have 30 feet of ribbon wrapping around my legs as I try to climb down. Suggestions would be welcome.
