A budget computer for a good price and for light use
I needed a new laptop for working in my living room and home office while doing remote work: checking email, using Word, Adobe, Outlook, occasional Excel, and other general and non-work-related tasks. Currently typing this review on the computer. It works . . . fine.S-Mode is not some sort of doomsday issue with this computer, so ignore those whining about it. You can turn it off (but not turn it back on). You will be fine. You need to download other programs (including the ones I noted above). You can. I use this with multiple accounts and have had no issues.Mary Ann, you ordered this and then gave it a one star rating because . . . it was too big? Did you not check the dimensions when you purchased it? Odd. Awesome, this is poor quality? What do you mean, exactly? Laskll, did AMD Ryzen kick you? I mean, if the product arrived with defects, you could return it for a refund. So you didn’t actually ‘waste money’ on this if you actually did what normal people do when there is an issue with a product you ordered online. I mean, things happen.Bottom line? For working at home, this is a perfect replacement for my previous laptop. Good price. Easy to use. And it actually looks like it cost more, even if this isn’t made to be a gaming device or for more than normal tasks. Recommended . . . and deserves the 4.5 average rating.

The pc itself is good value for the money. Some people may not know what Windows 11-S is. With this version of Windows you MUST buy any add-on apps directly from the MSN store. This is to protect you from yourself? This version is suppose to be faster and more secure (supposedly). You are not able to load any apps from Google Play in S-mode unless you turn this feature off. Once you turn off S-mode you cannot turn it back on. This is something I did not know about before I bought this for my wife. She is happy with it so I’m happy with it. If you are wanting to run Google Chrome instead of Microsoft Edge you may not want this version of Windows 11. That’s why I am giving this pc 4 Stars. Otherwise I would give it a 5 Star rating.

I had recently purchased a Chromebook laptop and it sucked balls so I gave it to my father who uses it to watch Youtube which is all it’s good for, I looked for laptops that have 17 inch screens and came across this HP Laptop Pavilion which was on sale because it was last years model (2023) and the price was incredible for what this laptop was offering. I hate Windows 11 S and had to circumvent it to access my Google account which makes the laptop tolerable and much better than the monopoly system Microsoft is running. After owning this HP for a little while and I love this laptop and it does everything I need it to do and MORE! I didn’t realize it was a touchscreen and that made this go from Great to Awesome. I am from an IBM family and have had personal computers in my home since they were invented, my Dad retired from IBM as one of their top network specialist and has forgotten more about computers than most people will ever learn. I could NEVER go over to the Dark Side aka Apple which is a little better than Chromebook but I find them both to be beyond frustrating. If you want a great usefull laptop for work, gaming, school work or just everyday internet surfing look no further than the HP Pavilion with the 17.3 inch screen! I have waited 6 weeks before giving a review and if it does not perform to my standards then I will come back and give an update. The shipping was fast and after the work around on the Windows 11 S, I was up and running so I will highly recommend this Laptop for anyone, Even if I had the money to spend on expensive laptops I would still buy the best value machine on the market and HP has won my business! Save the cash and try this Laptop out, you will be pleasantly surprised and your bank account will thank you!

Ordered what was advertised as a new computer, it was not. The first time I turned it on it said reboot complete from several months ago. I have been unable to turn it on after that first time. Iâve tried to get support thru HP and since theirs a sticker on the back of the laptop that this seller attached with super glue, saying warranty void if removed I canât even get to the serial number. WORST SELLER EVER!!! DONT BUY YOULL BE SCAMMED LIKE ME!
