I bought the extended longer barrel because I have long hair so instead of waiting for the last part of the hair wrapped over hair to get heated…I’m able to wrap it all directly on the barrel taking less time to heat.

Like other reviews said the spring gets stuck. I have other Hot Tools products and never had this happen before.I called for the warranty after a ton of documentation they said they will evaluate and send me a return sticker to exchange. This can takes months….I wish I could return it to Amazon and be done with it since so many others are complaining. The quality of this product really declined. The color of the iron isn’t even the deep gold that the other two I have are.Hopefully will get a replacement in a few months that will work….but ideally would just buy something else.

Howeverâ¦they are made extremely well. And thatâs valuable to me.I need my curling irons to do a good job. And both of these do just that.They work perfect!!!

My hair dresser uses a variation of this curling iron, so I purchased it to get similar results at home. It heats quickly and does a great job but I have burned my hand numerous times. I can’t use this product for the back of my head because I can’t see where I am applying it, which results in the burns on the hand that holds the hair. Even the second setting is very hot.
