Works great for garage fridge/freezer
I bought these as an alternative to the TempStick (which I love, but itâs expensive). I was worried because it had to 1) connect to my WiFi through the freezer door, through the walls in my garage, and to my Orbi Mesh Acesss Point and 2) needed to alert me if the temperature went above a certain point I choose. Iâve had these now for about 5 months and Iâm very pleased. The batteries it comes with will work in freezing temps and so far, the battery life has held steady. The app is easy to use and you really donât check it once you set the products up. To this day, the temperature alerts have saved me twice from my freezer door being cracked open.I like this model versus the model that requires a gateway because these connect directly to my WiFi. I didnât want to have a gateway/hub – just one more thing to break.In all – I would 100% buy these again.

Randomly drops then reconnects to Wi-Fi
I bought two sensors to monitor the inside temperature at our off grid cabin in the winter when we are not usually up there. They were easy to set up and I tested them at our house for a week to make sure they worked before installing them at the cabin. Itâs about a 1.5 hour drive to get there so I was hoping not to have to make several trips to get it right. It was pretty easy to get them connected to the Wi-Fi at the cabin and they worked well for about a month. Then one day I noticed that one of the sensors had lost its Wi-Fi connection. There is no way to reset it remotely so I was planning to drive up there on the upcoming weekend and check it out. But magically, the next day both sensors were again working. That held for a week then it lost the connection again for two days. For the last two months, either sensor will randomly lose then regain its connection in a day or two. Fortunately, so far at least one of them has always been connected. I did send a report to Govee but their reply was not real helpful. Mainly they advised that I go there and reset them. But since they seem to reconnect on their own I donât see the need for that.Right now I can work with this random connection issue, since the majority of the time they are working as expected. If it gets worse Iâll contact Govee again.But overall I do like these sensors and the Govee app. For the price itâs doing a good job providing the information we need.

Accurate and better than expected.
I had to swap out a temp control on our fridge and wanted a way to see if it warmed up while I was at work. It didnât. The sensor works fine and connects to WiFi through the walls and doors of the freezer box. The historical data is great, itâs held up in the freezer, software is designed well, and it was cheap while excellent quality. Recommended.

I got these about six months ago. Set up was a breeze, they connected to Alexa easily through the Govee app. I placed them around my apartment and that was it. For months Iâve been able to ask Alexa the temperature in particular rooms and these work like a charm. They also connect to my Govee smart fan, so that the fan can be set to turn on and off depending on the temperature of the room, and this is also easy to set up and worked seamlessly for me. I love these little devices, you can hide them anywhere, and when the AAA batteries finally quit, I can just recharge them. I havenât used any of the tracking features.
