The grip part works really good with locking capabilities and adjustments….the thick flexabme arm is very sturdy not wobbly. And was super easy to figure out. All functions worked great. We have it clipped to his side board on the top bunk and he puts his tablet in it and it works great. Awesome find.

This works great for an iPad mini or a Nintendo switch and Iphone. Coiled or uncoiled it holds position well, the ball joint tightens easily and the grip itself is easy to extend but doesn’t loosen on it’s own. The clamp section is easy to loosen and tighten, and is well padded on both sides so it isn’t likely to mar any surfaces you clamp it too, but be aware that it is entirely plastic so it will likely be the weak point of the whole item.I did have to take my iPad mini out of it’s case (a Targus case) to use with the grip, as the grip isn’t deep enough to hold it firmly with the case on and it fell out easily. With out the case, it holds firmly and has plenty of depth to keep the iPad mini in place.Held my iphone, even in it’s case just fine. If you plan to use this with a phone, just make sure your phone is 127mm/5 inches or longer as that’s the minimum opening of the grip. The description says the grip is 19mm/0.75 inches deep, but it’s really only 16.5mm/0.65 inches deep. It might seem silly, but I feel like that extra 2.5mm/0.10 inches could have helped with the case issue I had.Our switch isn’t in a case, but it also holds that firmly as well.The issue comes with anything larger than that. With a loop/coil in it, holds solidly, but if you need the extra length or height and have to uncoil the item, you MIGHT run into problems. extended about half the length up and half the length out, it help my iPad air 4th gen well enough, there was some slight creeping downwards but it wasn’t too bad and eventually settled out a little lower than I had set it. But in a case, won’t stay in position. Even just a simple speck case (with the flap cover) it was unable to hold position outside of being coiled. This isn’t a huge issue for me as I got it for the Ipad mini, but as it does show larger Ipad’s in the images I wanted to test that out too.4 stars because it does work well with smaller items, and it can work with larger items, but the depth of the grip and the fact that the base clamp is all plastic cost it that 5th star.

Not the best.
I would have kept this item if the clamp was better. Itâs super cheap plastic and doesnât stay tightened. It keeps falling off the lip of my night stand too since the edge is rounded so thereâs less surface area for gripping things. The arm is a little hard to move, too, every time I move it, it falls off where itâs clipped.
