My Puppy Loves this Indestructible Dragon
My puppy (8 month old black lab mix) loves, loves, loves her dragon. She has had it for 2 months now. It is one of her favorites and gets daily rough play time. It’s her go-to toy for fetch and tug games, as well as just general mouthy play. The squeaker gave out after about 4 weeks, but she would binge squeak for prolonged periods (kind of like chomping on gum) so it was almost a blessing when it went silent. She still chomps on it, but at least now I don’t have to hear it. Other than the fact that it’s a little grungy and bedraggled from so much loving, it is still in amazing shape. The seams and fur are all still intact. There are no visible holes, rips, or weak spots. I love Chew Guard Technology.
This dragon replaced her goDog Iguana (from PetSmart) that developed a tear in the fur after about 4 months of heavy use. (It was superficial, just the outer fur layer and not the innards, but we disposed of it before she could eat more fur.) She can be pretty rough on her toys and I can never predict if any given toy will last minutes or months. The goDog stuffies definitely fall into the “months” category, even with rough daily use.
Edit: The dragon lasted about 6 months of intensive, hard play before it developed a small tear in the fur. I patched it a couple times, but once my pup discovers a weak spot, it’s the kiss of death for any stuffed item. We had to dispose of the dragon (so sad) to keep her from eating any more of the fur. We replaced the dragon with the goDog Chameleon, which is still going strong. I think we will go back to the dragon for our next toy because it’s just so darned cute. We gave the dragon to my niece for her golden retriever puppy who is very chew-happy. That dragon is also doing well. You’ve just gotta love that chew-guard technology. This is one tough toy.

Tuff enuff for Spencer!
Our powerful St. Bernard/Boxer mix rescue boy, Spencer, LOVES toys but absolutely destroys them. Other than our red Kongs he’s wrecked every toy he’s gotten, including a black Hartz Tuff Gear our last dog had for a lifetime. In May 2015 I bought a three-pack of these supposedly hard-to-destroy goDog dragons on a whim (okay, I liked them) and Spencer LOVED them. He loved to fetch them, play tug with them, and dismantle them. First came some stuffing, then the squeaker, then more stuffing… but once the stuffing was gone (we would take it away, of course) the rest held together well enough to play fetch and tug with so we kept them. Spencer knows where they’re hidden and will attempt to get them if we’re not careful.
It’s almost Christmas 2015 and we just threw away one carcass because it just couldn’t hold together anymore, and another may not make it much past the new year, but we ordered two fresh ones here to give him for Christmas and frankly, I’m certain he suspects it because they’re the only boxes he’s shown any interest in, but since he can’t climb they are safe… for now. We got a black one and a pink one.
We are THRILLED with these toys because he loves them so much and they’ve lasted almost 8 months (so far) with regular (daily) rough play. We have to pay attention to his methodical munching and determined dismantling, keeping his play with them supervised with them until the stuffing and squeaker are gone, but after that we let him have them. Though they are not indestructible, in our estimation goDog dragons are the best dollar-for-dollar dog toy investment we’ve ever made. One would think that a toy with a head, wings, limbs and a tail would not have a snowball’s chance in Hell but our experience has been excellent.
In other words, ‘dragon’ has cemented itself among the “words we dare not utter around Spencer,” right next to ‘walk’.

Watch for the seams
Color and material are good quality. I expected stronger stitching at the seams however the toy has held up better than expected. Solid tug toy with the tail design.
Dog broke the squeeker down first (as expected) and I was able to go in an remove it easily.
Wish it was machine washable, surface cleaning with antibacterial soap didn’t do much.
Would buy again if seam stitching held up better.
Purchased for 55lbs 5 year old American Bulldog who chews on furniture, electrical cords and other household oddities when stressed, this has been a good redirect toy.

Absolutely not durable or have a “chew guard” like it’s advertised! Did not even last 5 minutes and she was not even playing rough. Find something else, this is no better than a cheap stuffed dog toy.

Much Loved Toys
First off- the price is RIGHT! Secondly, my dogs LOVE these toys!
I have two- 1 1/2 year old male Huskies that love to run and play with their toy babies all day long! They no longer destroy anything in the house! The last 2 I purchased lasted about 2 months, which I think is awesome, considering they usually completely destroy a stuffed animal toy on the same day they get one. My dog’s spend long hours chasing whichever one that has the toy at the time & playing tug of war trying to pull them apart. I highly recommend. I wish they would put a small sqeek in the head and at the end of every limb of their toy animals. Because for the dog, the sqeek is what it’s all about. ð

Dogs favorite toy
My dog loves this toy and it lasts a good while. Unless he is annoyed and then he shreds it lol However we usually have it for an entire month before he demolishes it. He is a medium level chewers but does take care of his toys overall

Le echaré ganas a esta reseña. Momo ha tenido todos los juguetes que hemos podido encontrar para perritos y todos y a cada uno han sido asesinados en menos de un par de dÃas. Ha tenido dos peluches que han sido decapitados y cuyos rellenos terminan en su panza. Lucas, asà llamamos a su dragón, ha sobrevivido más de dos semanas a ella, lo único que se descompuso a los dos dÃas fue el silbato que trae dentro, pero hasta ahora no se ha deshilachado, roto e incluso ha permanecido bastante suavecito para las babas del Momo que petrifican todo. Lo recomiendo, es hermoso, de buen tamaño y sumamente duradero.
