Been wanting to get 1 of these to try, and thanks to July Prime days this year, I bought 2 for the apartment. SO HAPPY I got the ones that had the extra layer of pet hair collection!! These babies work so well. They catch the pet hairs well, needing a pet hair filter change after 2 months. I have 2 cats/2dogs, as reference. The larger air filter was clean still at 2 months, so will check again after another 2 months.They can purify a regular size bedroom in an hour or 2, depending on size and quality if air before. It makes such a great difference in the air here. I use 1 in the great living room area and just move it slightly to point to the different areas. When we have gatherings, I just bumped it up to the highest setting. It rocks!! The other is usually in the hallway between the bedrooms. I’ve been putting it into each room for a couple hours weekly individually. I will be back to buy another one for my bedroom specifically, it really helps with my hay fever/allergies.

The front LED bar changes from Blue to Green, orange and red depending on the air quality while at the same time adjusting the fan speed to address the corresponding level of air quality indicated. Same thing happened when smoking some meat on the back patio. I left the door open to bring in the food, the unit detected the smoke and the front LED went red. After closing the door, it ran on high mode until the LED indicators began to regress back to blue and the fan speed decreasing accordingly until all the smoke odor was eliminated from the room.As with the Germ Guardian, I have noticed a very positive difference in the air quality in my living room so I can’t really comment on the specific differences in air quality effectiveness from any scientific measurement.Cons for the BlueAir product. It is a bit pricier – but for all the differences – so far, I feel the Blue Air product is definitely worth the price difference, for me at least.What I have not addressed: the longivity of the products; the life of the filter; ease of maintaining; Both of my purchases are within the first month;I will use both. GermGuardian Keeps Multi-cat Household Clean Smelling
I purchased this in February of 2024 but was too busy planning a move to review it. The filters are easy to clean with a vacuum hose and easy to remove and replace. You are supposed to replace every 6 months. The filter light on my unit just came on yesterday, 9/16/24, which is roughly 7 months. I purchased a pack of (8) AC4300 Pet HEPA Filters from Amazon and they were less than $5.00 a piece which I thought was reasonable.The replace filter light will come when it’s time to change the filter. After you put in a new filter you will need to reset the filter light by pressing down on the UV Mode button for about 5 seconds with the unit powered on.I have my unit located near my litter box and the clumping litter is very dusty. I was surprised I didn’t have to change the filter sooner but I did vacuum the filter several times. You can see the dust collecting on the outside of the unit and near the filter so you know it’s working. It really helps to eliminate the litter box smell but you also need to scoop the box 1-2 times daily.

Love this air purifier! Originally bought one for my office at the start of Covid to keep the air fresh at work. It’s been fantastic! Still working 5 days a week all day for the past 4 years. Also bought one for my bedroom and for my Moms house. Filters are reasonably priced when you buy in pairs and last about 3 months. It has a low mode that runs pretty quiet, medium setting is awesome for white noise while sleeping and the high mode blocks out distractions at work. Highly recommend to keep air fresh around you all year long. The blue light ring is bright in a dark room but the UV mode is not nessicary to have on all night. Catch it on sale for under $100 and feel like you scored a deal!

Hi – I’d just like to give you a friendly warning ! This looked like a nice quality item. It arrived in a box all covered with tape and labels which made it look like it had been opened and returned before (can’t prove that but it certainly looks that way) AND it has a US plug on it. I now find that to send it back I must drive 14 miles to the nearest town, at my expense in petrol and time, to take it to a shop which acts as an agent for the returns. What a lousy deal. Also, have found a great alternative at less than HALF the price.
