There Is No SD Slot–So Can’t Record Videos, Photso
This product works fine for my cat–treats come out and the camera is good. The issue is that there is no SD slot–so can’t use an SD card. This is a real drawback and one that I didn’t realize till I got the product. I am returning it and looking for something different.

Jams too frequently
I love this product… when it works. It currently jams up about 20% of the time with 1/2″ flat round Costco brand dry kibble food. The bottom rubber paddle will not bend sufficiently when the food in the chute is stuck between the paddle and the chute housing. Thus, no feeding until I get home and dislodge the piece. When it works before it ultimately jams, it’s great though!

Works so far, but requires registering an account, and also sound limitations
So far, it works pretty well. It required a lot of steps on the app to set up, but I guess if you want remote access, that’s what it takes. Doesn’t say so in the instructions, but you’ll need to “dispense” at least a few times before the treat carousel compartments are filled enough to start dispensing treats out. We used Cheerios and ripped up pieces of chicken jerky for dogs (about 5-6 fill up a compartment). If looking at the app video while in the same room, and there is noise, the noise will echo in the app repeatedly (almost in perpetuity), so definitely try watching the video from a different room. Also, I had to really talk into the phone’s mic in order for the sound to come out of the dispenser, so it’s not something you can whisper into. I will update if my feel on this device changes, but so far, so good.

This is a perfect device. If you want to look in on your pet and at the same time, give them a treat. Would highly recommend this. It was super easy to set up and the picture quality is fantastic. I really love being able to check in on my cat during my shift at work. There is a to a microphone and I call his name and he comes running to it. There is also motion and sound detection notification.
