Can’t Rate This POS Low Enough
I should have known better considering all of the negative reviews and the fact that I already have several Geeni products and they have been nothing but a problem since day one, but I was hopeful (or dumb) and went for it anyway since I have the app already. It worked for a whopping 6 days before stopping completely. And when I say it “worked” for 6 days, I mean it was a nightmare to set up (took almost 2 hours to cooperate with strong WiFi, countless resets of the device, my phone, the app and my router).-It doesn’t tell you when the device goes offline-which is constantly.-You can hear the food getting jammed up even when the tank only has small amounts in it.-When it does go offline, the button to manually dispense food won’t even work.-The app tells you it dispensed the set amount of food at the set time even when it doesn’t.I can’t fathom where these positive reviews are coming from. Either the warehouse is simply taking the returned pieces of junk and sending them directly back out into circulation or they are so incredibly subpar from the manufacture that they’ve just deemed themselves pleased with an 80% product failure rate. Don’t bother with customer service. You’ll end up ripping your hair out waiting for a human being who will -always- blame your Wifi and never offer solutions or product replacements. Seriously, Geeni everything is AWFUL in every possibly aspect.UPDATE – The feeder won’t even turn on now. At all. Completely dead after SIX DAYS.

This feeder was great, but our larger food pebbles would get stuck, jamming the automatic feeding function. Camera and sound worked great!

Works with Geeni software that inturns works with Google Home/Nest and Alexa. The food tray is larger than other Smart devices which aids in food moving out away from dispenser door. For feeding times where you want a large portion of food, the feeder sends out a portion every few minutes to prevent a jam in feeder. You can select 1/4 cup per feed to 50 cups. Unlimited food schedule, Record message to let pet know food is dispensed. The storage holds a weeks worth of food for my Doberman. 40+ cups of food. Camera is from Geeni and has all the same features as security cameras. Motion, night vision, etc. Depending where you place feeder, you can monitor an entire room, hallway and have feeder alert you of intruders. 2way communication allows you to talk to not only your pet, but anyone in proximity. USB plug that plugs into back of unit. Battery backup. I had power outages, and feeder came back online and dispensed food without me having to reset the unit or software. The feeder is dependable. Would like the option of black.

Started strong ended poorly.
Was okay out of box. Dog didn’t like feeder. It’s nose (Golden Retriever) bumped the feeder when she tried to eat from attached bowl. We had to brush food to outer edge of feeder bowl for the dog. So much for automation failure. After Amazon return period expired, the feeder stopped working. Can’t get it to reset. Can’t pair it. Amazon chat person in service was exceptionally great. She couldn’t resolve it and sent me to seller service web Service Bot was no help. Clicked human chat and told to wait. Half an hour later I gave up. Sent a service email and told a reply would come in at least two days. Got a robot reply right away but it referred me to help line FAQs that were no help. Requested a call back. Will see what happens. Worst case I need a new anchor for my boat. Update –I do have a Geeni light strip. In the Geeni app I tried one last time to pair. My thick fingers pressed the “Pair light strip” button. The app searched for it and came back with a message it found and paired the dog food feeder. It seems to work. Now I need to check the light strip…

Nice picture and quality but the feeder binds
The picture is good quality and it holds a lot of cat food. Like the ability to schedule feeding with my smart phone. However there is a design issue with the feeder in that at least twice every week it binds and does not dispense food. I have to empty the feeder and unbind the feeder inside. The part that rotates get bound by the cat food. I use regular cat food and nothing special so something is wrong with the dispenser design to get bound so often. That is the reason for three stars.
