I needed a medium-sized, aesthetic home desk for editing and recording content. Delivery came a day sooner than expected, and I cleared the space in the room before opening the box. Bits of foam and box debris got everywhere, but I managed to keep most of it in the box by cutting it down the side and removing the pieces one at a time. I promptly and carefully threw the box full of dust, foam, and plastic into the dumpster. Assembly took no longer than 20 minutes, but the instructions were tiny and vague. If you don’t have decent geometric reasoning just by looking at pictures, you’re screwed. It’s a wooden desk, so expect some creaking or snappy sounds while moving it. The surface is as shown in the pictures, but the material seems to absorb everything. Water, natural body oils, juice. I wiped it with Lysol wipes, and it left streaks in the shape of the wipes. It was able to sustain my full body weight test, and gently hold 145 pounds, although it creaks and bends.The support beam holding the legs together (as I predicted) bangs against my knees when I scoot up to the desk, no bueno. So I removed it, and it’s not any less stable, just don’t shove it from the side.Lastly, it was a bit larger than I expected. Perfect for a snack on one side and laptop on the other, or two small children to play side-by-side. I managed to turn my bedroom into a satisfying studio space, and I don’t have any legitimate complaints for $55.
