I lost my FAVORITE perfect white pompom beanie winter hat last year after several successful seasons. I have been looking for a replacement for my slightly larger head (approx 22.5″ circumference). Most of the ones I have tried give me a headache from being just a bit too tight.This hat is nicely snug but NOT pressing on my head, so it feels like it will stay put without giving me a headache from the pressure. I used to was my old hat in the wash, pompom and all (it was not detachable) and at first I wasn’t sure about the detachable pom on this, but now I can see based on the washing instructions if I detach it, the pom will stay nice and furry!The snap is VERY secure, so I don’t think it will come off by accident.The washing instructions are to hand wash with a drop of shampoo or wool detergent. The hat itself is 100% acrylic, which is the only change I’d consider since I’d love for it to be cotton, but for now the hat is a great option! (Although I am very likely to toss this hat into my machine on gentle cycle rather than hand wash. Sometimes I feel the detergent doesn’t all wash out if I hand wash and can make my skin itchy!)Happy with the hat!

I love the quality of this beanie! It is soft, and comfortable. It kept my head very warm on a cold winter morning. It has good stretch and the stitching is high quality. The best part is the pom pom is removable! It snaps on and off so I am able to throw it in the wash when needed. GENUIS!! Comes in a variety of colors too!
