As good as expensive brand
My coworker showed me his Jet Boil Mini Mo camp stove. They sale for around $170 !! This one is very similar but a fraction of the cost. It works great and is very compact with carrying bag.It boiled water quickly with the cup attachment that is included.I used it several times on my recent campout. It seems to be constructed really well. It has a good balance and wasn’t wobbly.I recommend this camp stove.

Great stove, but bring your own lighter!
This is great product, which burns hot and boils fast. It packs up small and light, and worked perfect at high elevation on mt whitney trip (california). But the self-igniter stopped working on second day. Beware, and BYO lighter. Such a bummer for an otherwise awesome stove! 4 stars.

Update – Fixed thebissue of the Igniter does not work
Update- Customer Service agent Dye reached out and sent me a replacement item. This igniter works great. I’m a happy camper now.original -Just pulled this out of the box to test before my trip this weekend only to find that the igniter does not work. Im outside of the return window as well. Buyer beware. Test upon delivery. It appears to be a known issue. Search Youtube.

Exactly what i’d hoped for.
I wanted a jetboil without the jetboil price. This feels well made and very comparable! Some people mentioned a slight odor when cooking. I thoroughly cleaned and scrubbed everything before use. I think the plastic smell is coming from the foam outer sleeve getting hot. It’s not the most pleasant thing, but it’s also not repulsive and isn’t getting into the food. I used this many times over a festival weekend to heat up water for coffee, hot cocoa, freezer backpacking meals, oatmeal, etc. I wouldn’t cook food in it, bit it boils water just fine. That’s the downside about these flash boil type things, they get SO hot SO quickly that you’ll probably just burn food if it doesn’t have much liquid and then it probably wont be very easy to clean. So, for now, I’m just using it to boil water. Make sure you are using it on level ground and/or holding the handle or watching it while it boils. If there’s a lot of liquid in it it can feel a bit top heavy and wobbly. I was very paranoid about it falling over while ignited because that would be terrifying to try and grab it and not burn yourself. Also compact and most everything fits inside.

Review after first trek in the mountains—When it works, it great, but had some issues
So we just took this on our first backpacking trip. I had tested one boil at home (around 700 feet elevation) and it seems to boil fast and easy to use.We hiked to a lake that was about 8,800 feet elevation, and another at 9,200ft. We used for about 5 meals worth of boils, usually with 2-3 boils per meal as we boiled for cocoa, and cleanup water.the GOOD: boiled relatively quickly when there was ZERO wind. Easy to lift with the handle and pour. I liked how small it packed up and the weight when packed.the BAD: wind, any wind, like a tiny breeze made the flame go out. There were some boils I had to hover and reclick every 5 seconds or so, as it kept getting blown out, and burst ignited gas out the sides, it singed the nice neoprene skin and melted a bit away.Half the cooks we ended up huddling around it trying to block the wind and i burned a good amount of my hairs on my hands off with the gas bursts from the many many many relights. This was very very frustrating, I am not sure if my unit was just defective, or if this is a common issue for anyone else (or maybe i was too high for it to work properly…though 8,800 feet seems like it should work there. The lid often popped open when it boiled, even though I had tried to make sure it was secure each time. Also the “twist to lock on” feature of the water tot eh burner was very insecure, it often slipped out.other thoughts:Overall it eventually got the job done, I wind issue made me regret purchasing it. I also wish some of the engineering issues with connectivity had been better. But i did like the look, size and weight.I’d be curious if my unit was an outlier, or if all of them share my issues.
