    Go solar!!
My order arrived in great shape. At first, I was concerned because the panels showed up first and Amazon marked my whole order as delivered. I contacted customer service (which was prompt in addressing my concerns) and was told not to worry. It arrived 2 days later in n great shape. It was not packaged in an Amazon box. It came in the original box which tells you what it is so if you need privacy from nosy neighbors, I would recommend requesting additional packaging.I am VERY pleased with my purchase! After surviving Hurricane Helene, I realized that in a bad situation, gas for my regular generator would not always be available and without gas, it was useless. I researched many solar generators and found this one to be the best fit for my home and situation. The panels are easy to set up.The generator is solid and a bit heavy but I had no problems carrying it. I am an older, disabled woman with a healing broken hand. The generator comes with multiple ways to charge and has ports to charge cell phones.I feel very confident that this unit will suit my purposes in the event of another storm or regular power outage. I live in an area where I get unobstructed sun on most days so solar is an excellent option for me.With the price of groceries, I spent as much on this unit as I did replacing all my lost refrigerated and frozen foods. Another savings point is the price of gas to keep gas generators running and trips to the gas station. Solar solves that issue! This unit alone will not charge your whole home but it will keep your lights on, your refrigerator running and charge your phones in a power outage. I’m considering purchasing another battery to be able to charge more appliances at a later date. For me, this purchase is well worth the money and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative to gas generators.

    Easy and works great!
Received the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max, 400w panel and solar extension cables days before hurricane Beryl (July 2024). It has been a huge relief and well worth the money! Today is our 4th day without electricity with temps in the mid 90s, heat advisory, heat index of 100 degrees and low to no wind. It’s hot as hell!Unit arrived very well packaged and set up was very simple. The only negative comment regarding set up would be the solar panel case… the case is perfect for storage but flimsy when used as a stand. I made a stand out of gray pvc and it works great.About the generator… I plugged in the unit before the power outage and it fully charged in an hour. Display screen is bright and easy to read. The number of USB & AC outlets are extremely useful and it has outlets for 2 panels.Solar charing… there is a bit of a learning curve here and it has to be managed throughout the day. To get the best charge, the panel has to be adjusted throughout the day according to the sun position. I have been able to get over 300 watts for several hours on a sunny day.Watt usage… this is where you have to manage watts and the app is a battery saver!!! For example: During sunny midday I can get up to 309 watts coming in. With my 25 cu ft refrigerator, 1 oscillating fan and a TV plugged in, all of that has been using 220 watts. Banking more watts than what is being used! But, if I unplug the refrigerator (and not open it) for 4 hours the wattage usage drops to 100 (food stays cold). Banking even more watts! Managing the usage this way gets us through the day with 40% – 50% battery life at sunset. Unplugging the refrigerator for 4 hours overnight helps save watts until the sun comes up.Overall… I’m very happy with this product! So relieved that my grocery items are kept cool and I’m not out driving around looking for gas and ice!My only regret… not buying a small generator for use upstairs.

    Amazing Product, Even Better Support!
I started with the ECOFLOW Delta-2 by a mishap, but it was easily cleared up by their superior customer service. I now am the proud owner of the Delta 2 MAX. I have some photos of the readings from a gloomy/overcast/cloudy day, where I was still pulling some wattage to charge the system (around 35-45 watts) Then some sunny day shots of the panels set up using their built-in stand=works very well, especially since it is actually a built-in stand from the protective/zip up cover/storage for your expandable panels. They fold out easily and set up just as easy.Make sure to take advantage of the dual surface capabilities! I have pumped out 190+ watts using reflective materials that project the sun’s rays unto the back of the panels as well. With the sun at 10-2 pm, and no reflective materials set up yet, I was cranking out 140-160 watts, as shown in the pics.I do not remember if I got the 190+ watt shots, but I will check my phone and post if I can find them, if not, I will get some as soon as I drain the MAX and have to charge it back up.These panels are rated at 220W, and saving you from boring details of specs etc., that equates to around 140-160+- watts during full sun in California. If you need to charge it fast for a trip, use the wall plug, it CRANKS the watts, I have a shot where its at 1152 wats from the wall outlet in my house. The max is portable and light for what it pumps out, “quietly”. I am around 6′ 200lb weight lifter type guy, and it is light for me, I can carry the generator in 1 hand, and the panels in the other, so many of you fellow muscle guys & gals will be able to do the same I’m guessing, otherwise, just make 2 trips or get a buddy.I also show some shots of it running a dyson vac & washing machine at the same time=EASY for the max.I ran my fridge with the D-2, so the max will have no problem with the fridge as well. The customer service is amazing, responsive to you within 24 hrs, sometimes within the same day=few hours even. They are so professional and kind, even fun to speak with. All have been from the Philippines, and I have YET to receive anything less than superior customer service quality from the Philippines, its as if they were born with superior CS skills built in. I am very grateful for their abilities to handle any and all issues I had after my initial purchase, and the follow up is just as high quality. AND, the issues were minor, and few. Mainly my misunderstanding of specs/etc. as I am quickly learning about the solar products. They have been a HUGE help & friends to my new venture into solar power. YES, I said FRIENDS! Think of one of your best friends, and they stand behind their products like a best friend would stand behind you. Why do I mention this? Because I know how I felt about purchasing my first solar generator, the anxiety & plethora of questions in my head. I have been researching for a few Years, and I am 100% glad I chose ECOFLOW, and I have complete confidence to put MY NAME on their customer service and product support.Bottom line, you CANNOT GO WRONG with ECOFLOW products if all their CS reps are like the ones I spoke with, PLUS their products are performing up to and beyond expectations! At this point, a few months in to owning the MAX, I am extremely happy, and satisfied with every aspect of their company, how often can any of us say that today?I will be investing in a whole home system sometime in the near future, and ECOFLOW is at the top of the list.

I bought the ECOFLOW Portable Power Station DELTA 2 Max to use as a backup for my home and for camping trips. I was amazed by the large capacity, the fast dual charging, and the multiple output ports. It can power almost everything I need, from my fridge to my laptop. It is also very easy to use and monitor with the EcoFlow app.The power station is very user-friendly and convenient. It has a clear LCD screen that shows the input and output power, the battery level, and the remaining time. It also has an EcoFlow app that allows me to control and monitor the power station from my phone. The app is very easy to use and intuitive. It connects to the power station via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and shows me real-time data and alerts. I can also update the firmware and access customer support through the app.The product came in a well-packaged box with all the accessories and manuals included. The packaging was sturdy and secure, and it protected the power station from any damage during shipping. The box also had a handle for easy lifting and moving.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of the EcoFlow Delta Max. Ecoflow has done it again: make my life easier as a caregiver. This time, the game changer is their Delta 2 Max power station.I’ll leave it to others to figure out and pinpoint the technical pros and cons of this device. All I can say is that for me, being able to generate electricity when needed is deeply reassuring and helpful.I am amazed by Ecoflow’s user-friendly ecosystem and forever grateful to them for helping me sleep better at night. Indeed, knowing that my power stations, smart extra battery and solar panels will help me take good care of my 93-year-old mother, who has dementia and who cannot walk anymore, is priceless. After reading extensively about Delta 2 Max and its LFP battery chemistry, deciding to upgrade to this device was a no-brainer. Also, the fact that a smart extra battery could double its capacity up to over 4kWh was a determining factor.Add to these latest acquisitions two previously bought Delta 2, two 160 W portable solar panels and one 220 W bifacial panel (renewable energy now strikes me as pure magic), and we’re all set to face the next challenge. We are blessed to live in a region safe from natural disasters, but power failures do happen – a disturbing thought in light of my mother’s condition. In fact, just recently we were out of power for five days but we managed just fine thanks to our EF products.Although I was able to recharge my power stations twice a day thanks to our town’s generators and to friends who had power, I figured we still needed to be more self-sufficient, hence the purchase of a Delta 2 Max and of a Delta Max Smart Battery following that power failure. Those extra 4000 W give me huge peace of mind.I can envision how much easier managing through the next blackout will be, knowing that our new equipment will give us greater leeway while increasing intervals between recharges. Mind you, our pair of Delta 2’s were incredibly useful during those five days without electricity, as they powered my mother’s lift, hospital bed and mattress. I could also warm some water to wash her in the morning. They powered our full-size fridge and 5.5 cu. ft. chest freezer, as well as the sump pump when needed. Router, microwave, coffee machine, cell phone, laptop, IPad, DVD player, lights, radio… bring it on !As I am writing this review, we in Canada are on track for our worst-ever wildfire season, including northern Quebec. Although we live in Montreal, hundreds of miles away, some of these fires resulted in loss of electricity for tens of thousands of people in our city. There is no such thing as avoiding natural disasters’ impacts anymore and that is why you can never be too prepared. What about Delta 2 Max’s lifespan of 3000 complete cycles until it reduces to 80% capacity ? this amazing durability is definitely impacting the way I am using it, for it is not only about being ready to handle potential emergencies anymore. Some days I just enjoy making good use of it by living partially off the grid. I’ve even reorganized the kitchen in order to make it more accessible when cooking, amongst other things.Owning two Delta 2’s plus a Delta 2 Max seems to perfectly meet our needs, offering us a great mix between portability (Delta 2) and power (Delta 2 Max and an extra battery). In fact, being able to rely on such extra power definitely feels like we’ve reached the big leagues. It’s a great feeling.

I bought the Ecoflow Delta 2 Max as a backup power source for my home in case of a power outage. With our electrical grid going down ever more frequently, this is a smart buy for anyone looking to power essentials during a blackout. I can report that after tested it by running my refrigerator, freezer and a few lights circuits in the house, a am really impressed with it’s performance. The Delta Max has a really cool display that shows the input, output and remaining battery life, which is super useful for monitoring the power usage.I recently purchased a few rigid solar panels and I can report can charge by adding these I can run my essential appliances indefinitely using solar power. Since I also use this unit in my camper van, I was also very impressed with the quietness of the fans while under load. This is something Ecoflow has addressed from the outgoing model. New battery chemistry also means, this is a worthwhile long term solution. The Ecoflow Delta 2 Max is high-quality and high-performance power station that is a fantastic backup solution for any home owner! Highly recommended. The only thing I would like to see is a bit more automation over when the unit charges from the grid…for example when there is a storm in the forecast. I’m sure this will eventually come because they are constantly adding new feature to the app.

I have owned the ECOFLOW Solar Generator DELTA 2 Max 2048Wh with 220W Solar Panel for about a month now. My intended purpose is for electrical backup power during short power outages which can be frequent where we live in the country. This is my second Ecoflow solar generator product. The first was a Delta 1300 which I am happy with and still own. The Delta 2 Max is a nice upgrade. It has 50% more capacity, has much quieter fans, lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePo4), higher AC wattage output (2400), and a 5 year warranty, amongst other things. At 51 pounds, it is a fairly heavy piece to haul around. Unfortunately, weight goes along with higher capacity. It’s just the nature of the beast. Batteries are heavy. One nice feature of the Delta 2 series is that it is firmware upgradeable and can also be controlled by an app on your phone. Not only does the app allow you to see the inputs and outputs of the Delta 2 Max, but you can set a number of parameters of how you want your unit to work. For instance, although you can charge the unit through its AC power cord at 1800 watts, you can set the charge rate anywhere from 200 watts to 1800 watts in 100 watt increments. Charging at a slower rate is easier on your batteries over their lifetime. Having the ability to load new firmware can get rid of bugs, or add new features. I just did an update that changed the power switchover time from 30 ms to 20 ms. It’s still not quite as fast as a UPS, but it is now closer. More products/computers being powered with the Ecoflow while it is plugged into the AC wall outlet should be uninterrupted when the power fails. In any case, it has been improved free of charge. The display on the Delta 2 Max is very clear and easy to read. It shows input and output loads like AC and solar, and DC loads including the cigar lighter socket, USB-A and USB-C sockets and the barrel plug sockets. Up to 2 extra 2048 watt external batteries can be added to give a total of 6144 watt hours for extra capacity. The Delta 2 Max has run everything I have tried with it including an induction cooktop, a portable ice maker, a portable steam cleaner, a coffee machine, a 12 volt power source and numerous USB powered devices. When considering this power source, just be aware that it is not going to power your house. It will power most of the things in your house, but not all at once! If you are using, say, a 1500 watt device, it will likely run your battery down in a couple of hours. Be aware of power management, and what power requirements your devices need. If you do that, you should have a more pleasant user experience. The Ecoflow Delta 2 Max came packaged with the Ecoflow 220 watt portable solar panels. Included was an adapter which hooked the solar panel’s MC-4 adapters with the Delta 2 Max’s XT60i connector. There are actually 2 XT60i inputs on the Delta 2 rated at 500 watts each totaling 1000 watts. In order to max out these inputs, you would require a more substantial setup than the included 220 watt panels. The panels look very well made, and come in a carry bag which doubles as a support mount to hold the panels directed towards the sun. It is actually 4 bifacial panels folded up and they weigh about 21 pounds. They aren’t as durable as an aluminum sided solid panel (no one’s portable solar panel assemblies are), but they are certainly more portable and can be taken with you while camping or off roading. They are not meant to be left outside 24/7 in my opinion. I have only had the opportunity to try the panels out once, but I was happy with their performance. It was mid October on a sunny day around 11:30 AM and it initially showed 192 watts going into the Delta 2 Max. It settled down a bit as the panels warmed up but still put out 188 watts for a few hours until the sun dropped lower in the sky. See photo….hard to read but it is at 191 watts. When a solar panel is rated, the panels are at 25C and under a light intensity of 1000 watts per square meter. In actual practice, the panels get hotter than 25C and the sun is often not at an ideal angle. There is moisture in the air which cuts down solar radiation, even though the sky looks blue. My experience was for these panels to put out 87% of rated power on an October day, which I consider to be very good. I would expect to have higher output on a day in June. The carry case which doubles as a panel support works, but is not ideal. I found it awkward to set up and not suitable for a windy area as a gust of wind can blow them over. Be advised that this set of panels will not be able to completely charge a dead Delta 2 Max by itself in a single day. You would need a perfect day and have to constantly move them perpendicular to the sun all day long and still fall short. Power output during the early and later parts of the solar day will have much less output than at noon when the sun is highest. Again, it’s just the way it is with any manufacturer’s solar panels. At $2899 for the package, it is an expensive purchase. I would suggest getting it on sale. Ecoflow often has sales. Right now (Nov 17 2023) there is the same sale on as when I bought mine just over a month ago. They are presently selling it with a $900 discount, so at $1999, it’s a pretty good deal. Do your research with what you want it for, how much capacity you need and what other products are out there. I think you will find Ecoflow products compare very favorably to what else is presently on the market
