No Wifi Needed
This video monitor is great for keeping an eye on your baby. It also works well for pets. I wanted a camera that I could use to watch my aging dog at night. My previous camera didn’t come with a screen, so I was excited to try this one because it has its own monitor. The screen isn’t the biggest or best, but I think it’s quite acceptable for the price.It comes with power supplies and everything you need to set up right away. No wifi is needed. I haven’t downloaded the app yet, but you can do that if you want to connect your mobile device. The only thing that didn’t come in the package is a screw for mounting the camera on a wall. The bottom plate has screw holes, so it’s ready to hang. I had it set up within minutes of opening the box.The camera needs to be placed strategically because it does not move autonomously. It does have some nice extras like the room thermometer and the ability to play a few lullabies. It’s a simple set-up, but it does what I need it to do.

Bad picture quality
I ordered this monitor for the purpose to watch my 3 month old while he was napping, heâs very sensitive to light so the room has to be almost pitch black. I was in need of a monitor that had night vision and good sound quality. Unfortunately, as hopefully as I was that this monitor would fulfill both of my wants it did not.There are a couple of great qualityâs about the camera that I thought were great. Initially setting the camera and monitor up is super simple. Place the camera where you would like to monitor, turn the camera on, wait about 5 seconds and thatâs it. The camera and provided monitor have already been paired which is a bonus. I also really like that this monitor offers two different ways to monitor your child, one being through the monitor and the second is by an app that can be accessed any where on any device.Now for the not so great qualities. The monitor doesnât come pre charged which isnât a deal breaker but it was a bummer to have to wait for it to charge up to start testing it out. I havenât down loaded the app yet so I cant comment on that but I do plan on down loading it. The reason that Ive deducted two stars is because both the sound quality and picture quality are really bad. I had the volume turned all the way up and when my son woke up I didnt hear him make any noise, it wasnât until he was full blown crying that I could actually hear him through the monitor. Now that wouldnt be an issue if the video quality was actually decent but itâs just bad bad bad. I provided a couple of photos with this review. All three are taken in my bedroom of where my baby would take his naps. Thereâs one photo where the bedroom door is open letting some light in, another is with the door closed allowing the room to be nearly pitch black other than a small night light on the other side of the room. The third is a picture of my sonâs bassinet. Now at first it might not seem that bad, but oh it is because believe it or not my son is in his swing in two of the photos. Go ahead and take your time looking for him, its like the book finding Waldo. The view of his bassinet is some what better but thats still with the camera being only 2 feet above it and I dont think the picture quality is any better.Thereâs also no zoom option which was kinda a let down. After using it the first two days I gave up on using it as a video monitor and decided to use it as a sound monitor instead. I just place the camera closer to my sonâs bassinet on the night stand so i can hear him more clearly.If Im being perfectly honest I wouldnât recommend ordering this baby monitor especially seeing as the only time parents really want to monitor there child is during nap time, bed time, or through out the night a decent night vision picture is needed. Look else where and save your money

Good Features but…
I was initially thrilled with this baby cameraâitâs easy to set up, the picture quality is good. The app is easy enough to figure out. However, after using it for a while, I discovered other reviews of potential security vulnerabilities with this model. I strongly recommend researching the security measures of any baby monitor before purchasing.

Good camera
This baby monitor was easy to set up right out of the package. The picture quality on the monitor is good and it picks up sound well. I prefer monitors without wifi for safety reasons but I do like that this has the option to use it over wifi with the app or to have the wifi off. I do wish the cord on the camera was longer though because it made it difficult to have the camera where I wanted it but still fit near an outlet. This is a good affordable monitor that overall I’m happy with.

Easy to set up to monitor my baby while she’s sleeping in her crib and I’m in another room. It’s great that it works without wifi, but if I wanted to I could connect it as well. I like that it comes with a screen.
