Amazing camera for the price!
I bought 3 of these cameras and so far, they have exceeded my expectations for a camera at this price range. The motion detection, audio quality, video quality, features such as spotlight and siren, and battery life have so far been great. I like the fact that these cameras can be standalone cameras without the need of another home base module, reducing the complexity of installation and operation. I’ve had two cameras for a good 3 months now, and they still operate and record smoothly.In addition, I got a 3rd camera about two weeks ago since I was happy with my 2 original ones. I charged this third one to 100% before installing it outdoors. For about 4-5 days, it recorded a lot of clips due to the location and the amount of movement in the area. I would say it recorded about 30-40 clips a day with an average duration of 30 seconds each. After about 5 days, battery dropped to 95%, which was very decent. I got a solar panel as pictured and installed it when the camera was 95%. In a matter of hours (camera was installed late night, and I checked battery life next day at 3pm), the camera was charged to 100%. I was really surprised that the solar panel charged so well in. spite of the camera usage. It’s been almost one week, and with the same regular recording frequency and use, the camera is still at 100%. It’s still fairly early to tell the longevity of the panel and how long it can perform this way, but I have to say that the panel and camera are working very well together. I think this is well worth it especially since I don’t need to charge the camera as it’s fine so far stand-alone with the solar panel. I’ve read it should decrease the frequency of having to charge, so I’m very surprised that I haven’t had to charge it at all since it’s at 100%.Having stated all the positives, the only one thing I wish could be improved is the motion detection. It seems that motion detection is very sensitive. When I first left it at “High” (default setting), it was recording constantly even when a tree branch moved slightly. I had to adjust it to Medium and it was still a little sensitive, but much better than before. It wasn’t until the Activity Zone feature was enabled that I cropped out the tree and everything worked as I wanted. Now there aren’t any “false” motion recordings.All in all, these are great cameras and I highly recommend them, especially with the solar panel to keep them charged up.

I’ll start by saying that this is a good security camera especially for the price! I bought it because it is solar powered and I don’t have to keep climbing up the ladder to charge it. However, it also comes with a charger so you can choose whether or not you want to use the solar. You don’t have to but it’s convenient! It captures the license plates of the cars going in and out of my driveway or those who don’t live here and like to block our driveway!It has the option for a flashing light, it will flash if it sees a person/animal/car. It also has a microphone option, you can hear from the outside and you’ll be able to talk over the speaker if you catch someone in your yard! Or just kindly asking the delivery driver to drop the package. You can mark the cars, so that the alarm doesn’t go off every time it sees your own car pull up. You can also have it choose whether it’s a human or a animal. Though, you do have to pay for that in the Pro package, which is only $32 (around that) for 12 months! That’s a deal! That also includes the cloud so that you don’t have to insert a SD card. There’s a siren option as well. With all these options that you can turn on, you’ll sure scare off anyone approaching that doesn’t belong there.Now, I did run in to a couple of problems. The app it tells you to download to activate the camera, is no longer available. At least it wasn’t when I tried downloading it (4 days ago). There IS a secondary app called VicoHome. This app is the one I use and I like it! Super easy and quickly sets your camera up. You can mess around with the options and whether or not you want the spotlight on, siren, etc. If you’re buying the camera and do download VicoHome app, the e-mails might go in to your “spam” folder depending on your E-mail settings. That’s what happened to me. You’ll need it for a verification code. I’m adding this in to my review because it was super helpful for me!Night vision works great. There’s two different night modes you can select. I choose the “white light mode” because my driveway is dark so the infrared (black & white) made it too dark to see much. The white light mode works great, as you can see here.I recommend the app and I do recommend the $32 (around that) bundle. It has all the options and cloud storage, and remember, that’s $32 for 12 months! You can’t go wrong.

Its been two weeks now. Battery only lasted1.5 weeks, didn’t expect that because the solar panel is well exposed to sunlight from 9am to 530pm. I will unsubscribe to turn off the ai features and see if the battery life improves.

We were immediately impressed upon opening the box and seeing how compact and well-designed the camera is. We chose the model that charges on a solar panel, and we had the whole thing set up quickly and easily. I registered the account and pre-charged the phone indoors on the first night, then installed everything on the 2nd day. It took less than 15 minutes to have everything up and going, including programming our desired settings into the app. We have been using the camera for about a week now, and so far it works flawlessly — from solar charging to video capture (both daytime and night vision), notifications, and ease of modification with the app. We did have one question about registering for the advertised warranty, and Kaia from the Dzees Support Team was able to get us sorted in no time with an efficient and friendly manner. We are pleased and impressed with our Dzees purchase!

I bought this to watch my car on driveway. Fairly easy to install nothing complicated. I got choices of night vision, I find white light is the better one than infra red. It is as advertised decent video quality, it notifies and records if there is motion detected. The only thing I wish this does better is battery life. Yes I get solar panel, but when really test battery power, probably last 3 days. Perhaps because it’s winter.But totally work in cold Canadian winter (-35). Plus you can hear what happen once you put the camera outside.

For more than a week I have been testing the performance of this camera without the solar sensor and it is still at 100%. At first glance the detection is efficient and sensitive, image quality is very good. It easily detects my little dog and humans, but sometimes it has false alarms by tree shadows, night vision is good, the construction is very solid with a 2 year guarantee from Dzees which gives us very good service at customers, thanks to Kaia from Dzees.
