Thin, light, soft – perfect!
[Update March 21, 2016] I’m still using this mat daily and I’ve now added a second one, in the XL size. These are really nice to have around and I’m finding more uses for them. I can easily drop one in convenient spot in a room and the dog will go straight to it. I can step on or over these mats much more easily than I could with a full size dog bed. These also work great to give the dogs a familiar “place” to lay down in whenever we go to an unfamiliar environment.[Oct 1, 2015] This is great for a lightweight nap mat. I bought the large size (35″ x 22″) to use as a “place” target for clicker training for my 65 lb dogs and it works great. It’s thin, light, easy to fold, carry and wash and my three dogs all love it. They will often choose to lay on this mat even when there are full size dog beds available (though I have no idea why). Don’t expect to receive a 4-inch thick dog bed. As the description states, it is 1.5-inches thick, and it does compress quite a bit. It’s about the thickness of a typical synthetic comforter. Both sides are the same fleece-like material, so it will tend to slide around on a smooth surface. Some bathtub non-slip tape applied to the crate pan can help prevent this. By the way, the “Fiesta” color is yellow. No idea why they choose such a non-descriptive color name.

Nice little crate pad.
Exactly the color I wanted. The green is a nice kiwi color with grey on the opposite side. It fits the 30 in. crate perfectly and is thick enough for a couple of hours in a crate. If your pet needs to be in a crate longer than that I suggest you get a thicker pad. I think it will hold up for at least 6 months. My Maltipoo if a digger so I don’t expect more than that but I may luck out if I put a rug on top of it. I have only hd it a couple of days so haven’t washed it yet. It seems sturdy enough for the washer though. I’m pleased with this pad.

Thin but work!
These beds are very thin but work perfectly in car crates and so on. They wash up easily which was a high selling point for me and actually came in handy on our last car trip! The color choices were perfect and the flip side of all is a dark grey which goes with just about everything. Our little ones seem to adore these for some reason and are now even lying on a bed that they elected to ignore for whatever reason in the past as we have one of the XL ones lying across the top of it! Great product. Fits in strollers nicely as well!

Charcoal Color is Actually Brown
I’ve ordered two of these for my dog to lie on in the backseat of my car. The seats already have a protective cover but I use this mat to give him some comfort fluff and warmth in winter. My seats are black leather so I chose Charcoal/Silver. Both mats, ordered at different times, are Silver and BROWN. The mat serves it’s purpose, have had no issues with it, so I’m happy but just disappointed and confused about why it’s brown and not charcoal as shown in the photo.

Great product, wrong one shipped
Bought this to replace one Iâve had for several years which spent most of the time outside. Quality is great – my dog loves it for lounging outside on a comfy May. Ordered a waterproof bed from a different company to put it in (thatâs late but thatâs another issue).The problem is that I ordered the light blue/charcoal combo but what I got was light blue/brown combo. Looked on the Downtown pet Supply website and they donât even have that combo listed. Additionally, the plastic it was packed in said light blue/charcoal as did the box.So it does not appear to be an Amazon mistake but a quality control issue at Downtown pet. Not worth the trouble returning, but I guess Iâll just use the blue side done the brown side will look odd on a black dog bed.

Well made, comfy (says my dog), and good company
These pads are more or less fluffy, fleece pads. I bought two, one for each of our dog crates. Since they are so easy to move, I also take them out of the crates and just put them on the floor for the boys as well. Both of our dogs prefer these pads to sleeping on the carpet or the plush carpet, so I think that is very good evidence for their comfort. I also want to point out the company contacted us to make sure everything was good, and in a matter of minutes took care of the one issue we had, a store coupon that didn’t register. I am very happy with this purchase and plan on buying these again should the need arise.

I have two of these mats and use them only for placework with my dogs.I can move them outside to the deck or somewhere in the livingroom/wherever we are, and use them as a place marker. They aren’t super thick, so I wouldn’t use them as bedding, but for the purposes I have, they’re great.
