gives accurate internal temps. the ambient sensor is on the inside of the cap, so if it’s touching the meat, it will be an average.range is disappointing. if there’s a wall in between you and the sensor, you might get 30 feet of range. having a wifi connection would be more effective, but this is the cheapest probe I could find with an ambient readout.

Thoa probe is garbage! Have done everything right on a cook!!! Twice i have used this product. I dried out a brisket and today I dried out a beef shank! Temperature is not accurate at all. I’m pissed I have lost more money in meat than what I paid for this pos!!! Don’t buy!!!
