Simple and easy to set-up
This product was simple and easy to use right out of the package. The app is the same one you probably already have on your phone, and it is the same one used by many other home smart devices, so it is really plug-and-play. The app is simple to use and the camera is great both in color and B&W. Just a few notes: Calibrate your portions based on your specific food – load the food and dispense 10 portions to start. Adjust the portions until you get the portion correct (10 portions for my food = 1 cup for example). Also, note that some dogs will be frightened by the sound the food makes when it is dispensed into the container – you can soften the sound with batting or other material under the cup and they will get used to the sound, especially when they know it is food. For dogs, the camera is good for long distance viewing only, their heads are too large and block the camera when eating. The audio works well. The container holds plenty of food. Overall a great unit!

I adopted an underweight dog and he is on a feeding schedule and when I work I don’t want him to go too long between meals so I purchased this and am so glad I did. I love that I can feed him and watch him and talk to him, i can hear him too. It holds quite a bit of food. It was a good purchase for me. I can see when he goes in and out the dog door bc that’s where I have it set up. It’s got a pretty wide camera lens. It’s really for cats I think bc it gives tiny portions, I had to measure out the food and figure out how many servings to give him. He could easily knock it over but I told him to leave it alone. I also don’t feed him at an exact time bc i don’t want to wake him if he’s napping so I set it up in the app so that it notifies me when there’s movement and that’s when I feed him though i can set it up by time as well. So I have lots of options.

Did not like. Bought because of the reviews and I was disappointed. I had trouble with set up, getting it to disperse the right amount, it following the WiFi. Ended up returning because I could not get it right.

The quantity it dispenses is unreliable. Originally set it up to dispense their normal feed amount, but after a few days we noticed they were acting like they were still hungry after meals so we measured what it dispensed & it was WAY under what we had originally set it to. We use small kibble & it’s either getting stuck or the soft silicon arms aren’t strong enough to push the food into the dispenser. Kicking myself that I only discovered this the day after the return policy was up. If I could still return it I would.

Food Capacity
I really like this feeder. It holds a lot of food in the container and dispenses seamlessly and quietly, plus you get a notification when it is complete. The camera is nice and clear and works like a security camera in terms of picture quality. The only reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star was because it does not alert you when the food is low; without you looking through the clear notification window at the front. Aside from that, totally love this and my doggie is in love with it.

I love this automatic feeder. It has allowed our family with the knowledge of knowing our dog is taken care of while we roam around the globe. We’d of course take her with us if she likes to travel but she is a homebody and loves the comforts of her space. So this automatic feeder with camera has allowed us to feel safe that she is eating while also keeping and eye on her with the camera.

Just what I needed
I am someone who travels far for work and usually has someone in the house to feed my dogs. And other times, the dogs are left alone for a long time. This was a perfect first purchase of an automatic feeder. Surprisingly the video quality is very nice and has the night vision feature on it. It dispenses the food accordingly. The feeder is just what we needed!
