Still good after 6 years!
I never leave reviews but when going though some old orders I realized my dog’s beds are now 5 and 6 years old! That’s impressive considering most normal beds you find at the store already come pre-worn-out and lifeless. The memory foam in this bed is still super foamy, and my dog uses them every single day. He’s a corso mastiff, 135 pounds and he’s still going strong after 7.5 years. I’m absolutely positive these beds were one of the best investments I ever made into his health and his hips. Between this bed and the joint vitamins I’ve given him the last couple years, he still has no real hip or pain issues even after years of jumping into my truck, just some sore days after play dates. On those days, he crashes on his super comfy bed to recover. Seriously, for the money you really can’t go wrong on these beds. It literally goes everywhere he goes. The lining cover keeps them from smelling and the outer cover is super durable and easy to wash. Also, buy a second cover right away and thank me later. Switch to the new cover while you wash the old and keep your dog from accidentally getting on the bed with just the inner lining because their claws will scratch through it. Just buy it, your dog will thank you. Enjoy some pics of the bestest boy ever.

This dog bed is by far my best purchase overall in 2024!! It fits the crate exactly and comes with three beautifully made, sturdy zippered covers (internal, denim, then waterproof with soft top and nubs underneath to reduce slippage). Well worth the low cost, very thick memory foam. Iâm thrilled with it and so is my 80-pound dog with bad hips.

Quality/options : This bed is well made, with not only high quality foam, but also a durable cover and water resistant liner. Most dog beds are one piece with filling and are nearly impossible to clean thoroughly. Others are super expensive, if you want the cover and filling separate, and then they aren’t remotely waterproof. Negative review comments vs My experience : I have an older dog who sometimes has accidents on the bed, and I searched exhaustively for a bed that could be washed, and was comfortable. The dense foam which some call “hard”(I disagree) is thick and comfortable. Most beds I’ve gotten have lost their fluffiness with continued use, not this one. Some become lumpy because they’re filled with stuffing or chunks of foam, but this is a solid block that will last. Also, it didn’t have any strong “odor” as some said, and I’m sensitive enough to smells that even a neighbor using a wood burning fireplace can give me a headache. Dog tested : The water resistant liner isn’t technically completely waterproof, but they explain that in the description, and it is not “loud” as some reviewers have said. My VERY easily startled shepherd mix lays on it, gets up and walks in circles, and though you can hear her, it’s not bad enough she gets scared away. Modifications : We added a trash bag since the accidents are rather frequent, and after the first one, even though It didn’t seem like any went through to the foam, it’s such quality foam, and she likes it so much, I wasn’t going to risk it. The trash bag is protected by the two layers so claws don’t go through, whereas when I’ve tried trash bags on other beds with only one cover they can become pierced. If I could change anything, I’d have more of the cover unzip, or unzip on the long side rather than short one, but this is not a deal breaker, It does easily fold in half to make sliding it into the snug cover WAY easier. To conclude : Overall, from extensive searching and price comparing, I chose this bed for the liner, the foam, removable cover, and price. My dog and I are both very happy with it. I’ve gone through many dog beds in the 13 years I’ve had dogs and this is by far the best value I’ve come across. Nice job dogbed4less. : )

WOW! Cannot believe I waited this long, and wasted so much money on traditional beds over the last 4 years. I highly recommend this bed, and this company. A solid product that comes just as advertised.Came with two covers that are definitely machine washable. I can even vacuum them on the bed to remove some of the hair and extend time between washing. Covers fit like new after washing as well, which is a huge surprise and plus. The waterproof liner cover also completely encompasses the bed so you can use both sides. A big plus!It took a couple nights getting used to it, and a little coaxing to get her onto it, but she got over it. Most importantly, the bed has cut down my dog’s snoring quite a bit, and she sleeps noticeably deeper at night. Its a lot harder at first, but does soften a little over time (had it over a month now), but seems to hold up quite well.I have a 90lb American Bulldog with short legs and a big body and she fits perfectly on the XL size. Measurements were great. Do give it 48 hours to air out after opening, as it comes compressed into a very small box for shipping, and has a very strong Foam smell.Overall, cannot recommend it enough. I can see this easily lasting several years, and at barely twice the price of beds that last months.UPDATE 2/20/2018: It’s been nearly three full years of use, and the bed is like new. The covers go through the wash once a week and come out the same size and shape as if they’re new, and fit everything time. The waterproof cover underneath has held up well to drool and even a couple vomit piles, and the bed doesn’t smell or appear to be damaged in anyway.The bed still feels as good as it did to the touch, with plenty of firmness and support. Our 100lb Am.Bulldog still loves her bed at night and when were away. One of the most fantastic purchases we’ve ever made for her. Cannot recommend enough.

It was exactly what I was looking for and fits my kennel perfectly. My cat approved of it immediately and keeps hogging it. I hardly had a chance to try it out myself.My dog is more stubborn. He doesn’t like change. He got on a couple of times but wouldn’t stay, and then he boycotted it for a few days. His old ratty kennel mattress was all thin and flat, and you could feel the bottom of the kennel through it in several places. He sometimes has back/nerve issues, so I wanted him to be as comfortable as I am on my own gel memory foam mattress. But he preferred the soft, furry feel of the old bed. I put the denim cover on this new one (see note below).I first tried a blanket on top to entice him, which seemed to help temporarily, but it would bunch all up. Then I found an old flannel sheet, folded it up, and secured it down around the edges, between the mattress and the kennel walls. He’s now in there conked out, looking comfortable, and choosing to go in without me coaxing/begging him.So I think it was the combination of getting used to the different feel of the bed and the denim cover that he didn’t care for.A couple of very minor complaints:1. The micro-suede cover that comes with it is VERY thin. I had planned to use this rather than the denim one because I thought my dog would prefer it, but I think it wouldn’t be long before he’d rip it with his nails.2. The mattress came stained on one side, but I don’t think it was a gross stain (like pee or something – at least I hope not, LOL). The heavy plastic it wrapped in was ripped open at the top and that’s where the stain was – a good size one. I tried to wash it a bit with soap and detergent and got some of it out. It’s not something I will knock it down a star for, but I would have preferred it not to have a stain for what I paid.
