The perfect affordable and effective training collar for most dog owners!
We looked at dozens of dog training collars before finally deciding on this one. At the end of the day, our decision came down to price, features, reviews, decent battery life and ease of use for everyone in our family, including the kids. Having simple and devoted buttons for beep, vibrate and shock is must and I would not own a training system that didn’t have this feature – no switching modes so you can get the immediate action you want on the collar so the dog knows the exact moment he needs behavior improvement. We’ve found our German Shepherd puppy will obey commands with just the beep mode in some instances and will usually obey with the vibrate mode (which is not adjustable but perfectly effective in most cases). When he is extra hyper in the morning a mild shock (30 out of 100 on the scale, with the rubber tips on the electrodes) is extremely effective but not harmful, though he only needed occasionally. After less than a week of use, he is already obeying much better and is more focused overall. The need for shock mode is decreasing daily and I suspect we will rarely have to use this mode in the near future. We also like the simple lock button feature on the controller – a great thing if you keep the controller in your pocket or purse sometimes but want to keep the controller active. This prevents accidental shock, vibrations or beeps, which is important as you don’t want your dog to be “buzzed” for no reason which can confuse the animal and make training more difficult. While not as small as some others, we like the size of this controller. It’s large enough (plus ours is blue, which stands out a little better when laid down on the counter) to easily see, which helps to prevent it from getting lost in the house but yet it is perfectly ergonomic when being used. I actually wouldn’t want a smaller controller. The batteries are holding up well. After about a week, the controller is still at full power and the collar, after very frequent use in the first several days, was showing 50% battery. We love the fact the battery life for the collar and controller are both displayed on the controller display – no guessing when your dog’s collar needs to be charged. We also appreciated the fact that the collar is a good heavy duty collar with a very wide range of size adjustment. It may appear bulky to some, but if you have a medium or large size dog, this is the collar style you want. Many other dog training systems we looked at come with collars that are pretty cheap quality. For the price, this system is hard to beat. It is high quality, doesn’t have unnecessary buttons or rarely needed gimmicky features, offers good battery life, is easy to recharge, is extremely effective and is beyond easy to use. Even our youngest child, who recently turned eleven, commented on how easy this system is to use. In fact he was the most excited it did work, since our puppy loved to jump up on him and nip him the most! Needless to say, our whole family is extremely happy with this purchase and we highly recommend it. Our puppy is now easier to train, is much better behaved after only one week of use and is much more enjoyable to work with overall, especially important as he gets physically bigger. For most dog owners, there is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on a dog collar training system for your pet. Don’t hesitate to look at this one!

Works well, but be weary If your dog has thick fur
So this collar works very well. It definitely has the ability to get your dogs attention, and the strength to jolt the most stubborn of dogs. The battery lasts a good amount of time, the remote works well long distance. The issue is that my husky collie mix has SUPER thick fur, and even with the collar tightend all the way, and the prongs as far as it could go, she was completely unaffected. The vibration was nothingthe beeps just made her cock her head. My husband touched it immediately after and got a good jolt. So it for sure works. We ended up having to shave a spot on her neck for it to become effective and she’s finally starting to understand she can’t just doge out the front door whenever she feels like going for a stroll. She’s probably one of the most intelligent dogs I’ve ever met in my life, and she outsmarts me daily. She’s also as stubborn as they come.. so if you own a breed that has thick fur, is bred for a colder climate, please be warned that you might have to take extra measures to make this work..and your dog might not be just immune. my husband tested the collar at up to a 20 over his shirt and it didn’t effect him at all. So any barrier causes it to be ineffective. Direct contact with the skin is the most effective.Over all though, this is a very nice collar for the $30. It’s higher quality than expected, and it does what it’s supposed to do as long as it’s used correctly, this is a very effective training tool.

We were referred to this product by family who swore by it’s effectiveness in training their dogs. Our 1 year old dog was overly excited when walking, would bark and pull excessively and we were having difficulty getting him to pay attention to our command. The dog care collar gives us tools to increasingly get our pups attention and remind him to focus on our command. We most often use the tone function, followed by the vibration and have not yet needed to use the shock function as the other tools are very effective. As we use it with walking, our pup recognizes it as his collar for going on walks and is eager to wear it (he is not afraid of it!!). We are so glad to have found this product and the progress we have made with our dog since receiving it.
