I was reluctant but I had to do something to keep the cat from tearing up the furniture. It is way more adhesive than I expected so make sure itâs exactly as you want it before applying. The ease of putting it on is great and very functional.

Okay, butâ¦
I used it to re-cover a much loved (shredded) scratching post. It cut easily with scissors, and it has peel and stick adhesive, which was simple to work with. However, the first time my cat scratched it, the carpet came right off. No bueno. The adhesive is not great on its own, but I used some heavy duty glue to secure it better to the post, and all is well. Just make sure you have another means of securing it if itâs getting used for cat claws.

Really easy to reupholster old cat tree using this material!
I have an old cat tree made with 2 by 4’s. Stores don’t seem to sell cat trees made with 2 by 4’s anymore so I decided to reupholster this old tree in places that the carpet was worn and I will definitely buy this scratcher mat again to reupholster!! There were guide markers to help with the measuring and cutting. The material was easy to cut with carpet scissors and the carpet had sticky tape back which held the carpet in place and made it easier for me to use my staple gun to really seal the carpet onto the tree. This mat is not fluffy like the old carpet-but is more thin and like “bumpy fabric” as opposed to actual carpet, but my kittens seem happy enough to scratch this material! I was also happy to be able to match this fabric shade to my old tree’s carpet!

Exactly as advertised, but underwhelming quality
The carpet is pretty much in line with advertising, it just has a cheaper feel to it and lacked the performance I was hoping for. Itâs not a bad product; itâs just not âgreat.âThe adhesive is thin. While it worked relatively well for my application, (padding for a cat wall) I donât have much confidence in it sticking to anything but a clean solid surface, such as plywood. I was able to reposition, but any dirt/dust/hair significantly dampened its stickiness, so be sure to have a clean and dry surface to adhere to.The carpet itself is 3/16â thick, uncompressed, but squeezes easily down to 1/16â. It has a high polyester/plastic feel to it so if youâre expecting soft and fluffy, it only sort of delivers. Neither of my cats are interested in sharpening their claws on it, but they also donât avoid it. They were lying and walking on it within seconds of it going down.It was easy to cut, but have a cleaner handy to clean the residual tack off of your razor or scissors. It wasnât unexpected but youâre not exactly going to be cutting this all day with scissors. Sharp tools are highly recommended as the carpet short of frays and tears if a dull (or sticky) blade is used.I would probably buy it again, but not as a cat scratching surface or something that I would be in direct and extended contact with.

I really wanted to love this, but less than 24 hours after I put these on they have fallen off, and since theyâre already cut I canât even return them. Donât buy this, itâs a waste of money.

Heavy duty- stays put wherever you place it- so make certain it is placed where you want it-I was afraid it would make my sofa look junky but not at all! it saved my sofa from being clawed!My Cat & I are both happy now!

Good option to protect furniture but needs to stick better
Picked this up to protect my couch corners from the cats. Works well but could stick a little better. Constantly having to re-stick it after they scratch on it.

Got these to make a wall and they worked great. Didnt measure properly at first so I had to get a 2nd and that was delivered super fast. The sticky backing was great and way stickier than I expected. I got a staple gun just in case but don’t think it would be needed. Careful taking down from walls again, definitely will peel paint. Will buy again for future projects for sure. The light color went great with the wall, barely shows.

I thought this would be the perfect ease of installation which it was took seconds. I thought it be great functionality and appearance on my couch, because my cats are always scratching and ruining the ends of my couch. I put it on. It looked great, but after a few days, the glue starts to let go on the scratch pad, so the quality of the glue on the back of the scratch pad is not very strong the appearance you would have to pick a close colour to your furniture. If thatâs where youâre putting it looks good. The quality of the scratching pad is good I would recommend the scratching pad for certain areas itâs just not working on my couch, Iâm disappointed in that thatâs where I really needed it the first couple of pictures show how itâs not sticking to the couch. I wake up every morning re-fixing it.
