    Stunned at the quality
We originally bought a $500 baby monitor with all the bells and whistles but it constantly lost internet connection. Then we bought an expensive big box store brand and had the same problem on top of the monitor having a short battery life. We took a chance on this one and have been so impressed! No issues with connection all the way on the other side of the house. Battery life on the monitor is great and the screen is huge. Being able to move the monitor is a great bonus too. Would definitely recommend over the others that are much more expensive!

Peace of Mind with a Side of Convenience!
The OKAIDI baby monitor has definitely made my life easier as a parent! The 6.0″ screen is nice and big, so I can actually see my little one clearly, even when they’re in a dark room thanks to the night vision feature. The 30-hour battery life is a big win—no constant recharging like my old monitor. The 1000ft range means I can move around the house (or even the yard) without worrying about losing signal. I also love the pan, tilt, and zoom functions, which let me get a full view of the room without having to sneak in and disturb the baby. Plus, the 2-way talk feature is perfect for soothing my baby from the next room. It’s everything I needed, and then some!

    Works great, no Wi-Fi required!
I chose this monitor because I didn’t want to connect a camera in my house to the internet, This comes with a nice little controller with a big screen on it. There’s a battery in the screen so you can bring it around the house easily, and I had no issues connecting through a floor and across the house. You can control the cameras movement from the remote so you can see whatever part of the room you want, and there is an automatic night vision mode that works quite well. There’s also 2 way sound communication so you can hear what’s happening in the other room and can communicate back (Like to tell the cats not to go to the bathroom on the floor)

Easy to use but non-standard mount and other minor drawbacks
Short version:Pros:Works out of the boxGood video qualityIncludes power cablesIntuitive controlsLarge Pan/tilt rangeGood volume rangeQuiet motor for pan/tiltCapable of split screenCons:Can’t turn off auto screen wakeExtremely bright LEDNon-standard camera mountEasy to accidentally press buttonsNarrow camera angleDoesn’t use USB CSometimes struggles to read light level correctlySubjective:Massive screenLong version:I liked that this was extremely easy to set up. Just plug both the camera and the monitor in with the included cables and power up the monitor and it works. The picture is reasonably high quality in both regular and infrared mode. I was able to figure out how to use the various settings without needing to refer to the instructions. The pictures in the menus are easy to understand. When you’re outside of a menu you just press the arrow buttons to pan and tilt so you can turn the camera to where you want it and it’s extremely quiet, with just a tiny whirring when the camera is turning. I also like that it gets nice and loud. Getting this one made me realize that the speakers on my last monitor must have been dying. I don’t need to have the volume any louder than the middle setting to be able to hear with zero problem. The instruction booklet also claims that if you have two cameras, it can do split screen, which is a pretty major upside. I only have one, but when we have another kid I might choose to buy a second of these cameras so that I can make use of the split screen.Given all the things I do like, I also have some complaints. First, I have a camera mount mounted high in a corner of my daughter’s room that I was able to use with both of the cameras I’ve used. This camera has a non-standard mount that doesn’t seem to be compatible with the mount I already have. I wound up having to put it on the shelf/toy box. I would much rather have it up in the corner, both to keep the camera out of reach of my toddler and to have a slightly wider angle of the room. And on that note, the view angle on this camera is quite narrow. It’s pretty easy to pan the camera, so it’s not the end of the world, but I can’t see both my daughter’s bed and the door, which my last camera could. I doubt being up in the corner would widen the angle enough to see both without panning.I personally don’t want the screen to wake up without me turning it on manually. I’m relying on the sound to alert me if my daughter is up and then I’ll turn on the monitor screen to see what’s going on. There are 4 settings in the Eco mode menu, 3 for changing the sensitivity of the screen autowake and one that shows a microphone with a line through it. I selected the last one, but the screen still seems to wake up without sound, which I do not like at all. I keep the monitor on my nightstand so that I can hear at night and there is an extremely bright LED in the front of the monitor that lights up my whole room. Because of this I’ve been keeping the monitor face down to mitigate the impact of the light, but almost every time I hear anything from the camera at night when I pick up the monitor I seem to have accidentally pressed the menu button because the menu is open instead of the video. I try to be delicate with how I put it down and pick it up, but it doesn’t seem to help much with accidentally pushing the buttons.I also wish it had USB C charging connections, as both of my previous cameras and monitors were USB and it would have made my life a little easier to be able to use the chargers I already had in place.I’ve also had a few times where the camera seemed to think the light was low and was using infrared. When that happens the video is black and white and sightly lower quality and it won’t read the light correctly unless I tilt the camera up briefly towards the light.Lastly, the size of the monitor is both a plus and a negative to me. The big screen is kind of nice, but not super necessary when using one camera. I could definitely see that the big screen would be much more necessary if using split screen, though. I’m using only one camera and I don’t particularly like how much real estate the monitor takes up on my nightstand. The screen alone is larger than the entire monitor from my last camera. All told, I DO have complaints about this monitor, but none of them are deal breakers for me and for ~$50 I WOULD likely get this again. As stated above, when I’m looking for Dual monitor setup with the next baby, I very likely will buy another of these cameras.

    good image on large screen
Great option for a non-wifi baby monitor! I prefer the no wifi while traveling, because sometimes the state of wifi is unknown or I stay in hotels where you can’t get the monitor to log into the wifi. Having this monitor with me ensures it will work as long as I plug it in and am within 1000 feet (which is also a decent range). It can also serve as a good primary monitor for the home. The image is very good and the screen is very large, always providing good visibility.

    I’m impressed!
My youngest kid is now 17, so it’s been awhile since I’ve used a baby monitor! This video monitor is super easy — plug and play. The video image is clear and the night vision feature works well. The camera moves easily using the parent device. I love that it has lullabies that you can turn on from the parent monitor. Nice touch! I didn’t have any issues with interference. My house is pretty small, so I did’t try it out very far away from the baby’s unit. I tested out the speaker feature and talked to my husband while he was in the bedroom , and his voice came through clearly. I wish I had a video monitor when my kids were young! We kept a monitor in my 2 asthma sons’ room until the youngest was about 8, before we finally packed it up and gave it away. This will be used to monitor our aging parents as needed, especially after they have a surgery.
