Excellent for Multiple Cats
Weâve used this product for a few years now and it still works well. The open/close sound is maybe a bit louder now than it was before, but itâs not bothersome. Itâs easy to program a cat in and my cats have had no trouble using. Itâs pretty easy to clean and comes with some good bowls. This is perfect if you have cats on different diets or one who is a food stealer. Have recommended this to other pet owners and will continue using mine.

Highly recommend. Worth the money!
I have been using these for years–literally, about 4 years now– and they still work great! I had an elderly cat on prescription food, and in a multi-cat household, it was impossible to keep them all eating what they were supposed to. I initially tried the IR tag pet feeder from Chewy.com because they are WAY cheaper, but you get what you pay for, folks.
I have used these both with my pet’s subcutaneous microchip and with the collar tag microchips, both work great (as long as their subcu microchip is near one of their front shoulders). Easy to set up, the batteries (4 x Cs) actually last a very long time even with frequent use; in my experience, the better part of a year.
I love that each one comes with collar microchips (so you don’t need to buy a separate set, like I first thought), and with two different types of bowl. The bowls simply lift out and are easy to clean. I have even heated wet cat food up in the microwave in them with no issues.
One thing to make note of; the clear sliding lid can be broken into by the cats if you don’t make sure to slide the locking switch into the “locked” position after you’ve reassembled after cleaning. I did not discover this fact until I was about fed up with my cats breaking into each others’ bowls (which still took them quite a while to figure out). Now that I know, they have not been able to break in.
The main con is that the overall feeder can be a pain to clean because of the hinge and various nooks and crannies, but this is in no way a dealbreaker, and is in fact a very minor complaint of mine. The gray rubber mats on the front of the feeder are removeable for easy cleaning.
The feeders are a bit bulky I suppose (see cat in picture for scale), but I don’t mind this. They have a sleek design that looks very modern and aesthetically pleasing. My cats took to them almost immediately, with little to no introductory training needed.
No other automatic pet feeder on the market even comes close to these, and hasn’t for years. I recommend these to all my friends that have cats on prescription foods, or cats that fight over food or are picky eaters. Worth the money!

Absolutely fantastic option for multiple pets
These are everything they promise. We have a cat who likes the kitten food and a kitten who likes the cat food, as well as two dogs who will eat any food any time, and two of these solved that immediately. Both cats took to them with no fuss; I did not have to go through the training steps to get them used to the movement. The kitten was a bit spooked the first time it opened but came right back; the cat had her head in the bowl before Iâd even put treats in it, and theyâve both been eating happily since. The bowls have gaskets that seal nicely to the cover when itâs closed, so I feel ok about putting a dayâs worth of dry food in there and letting them graze as they wish. It would probably do OK with wet food, but my cats wonât eat it because theyâre little weirdos whose only mission is chaos and anarchy. So far, the dogs havenât been able to figure out a way around the new defenses. They look nice, donât take up too much space, and work as advertised. Theyâre easy to set up, and depending on the willingness of the cat, pretty zero effort to switch to. Only things I donât love are the price (Itâs a lot for what it is) and that theyâre battery power only (Iâd prefer a plug plus battery backup), which admittedly does make them work everywhere and look very clean, but I canât yet comment on the battery life.
They include a second, divided bowl, a silicone mat for the ramp at the front, and an RFID collar tag in case your cat isnât microchipped. Mine are, but itâs worth mentioning that the tag is quite small and light compared to the tags sold with other feeders; I wouldnât feel too badly about putting this one on my catâs collars if needed. Everything is attractive, well made, and easy to operate and clean.

Good machine, 1 of 2 stopped working after 1 yr, but under warranty
We have bought two of these. They have worked very well. However, one of the machines stopped working after about 1 year. There is a 3-year warranty and I am going through the process of getting a replacement. The other machine has no problems. Our cats took to them pretty quickly. We did use the training options for a couple weeks, which gradually gets the cats used to the feeder. They are perfect for keeping our young cats from eating our elderly catâs special food. They have a nice design. They are not an eye soar. Easily cleanable and transportable. I would give them 5 stars if it were not for the one machine not working after a year. I am appreciative of the warranty and wish there were more size options for the tray. I also wish they were less expensive as the microchip readers are not super high tech any longerâ¦

Perfect for multiple cats
We have a fat cat, he eats the food of our other cats and then rushes back to his bowl and finished his food as well. Heâs a menace, so we got this feeder for the skinny cat. Itâs easy to set up, has two small bowls or one bigger deeper bowl, it holds plenty of food, not super heavy but heavy enough to stay put when the cats are eating. Nice design and works with her chip, she doesnât wear a collar so the fact that itâs microchip activation makes things very convenient

The surefeed pet feeder is amazing and works extremely well in multi-cat house holds. I have 3 cats that all have different diets and this has been a game changer. The unit it sturday and well made. It’s also incredibly easy to set up. You can use the rfid tag provided or your pets microchip if they have one. Battery life is top notch and I usually only have to change them once a year. The unit is very easy to clean as well.
