Catstages Scratch, Snuggle & Relaxation Corrugated Cat Scratcher With Catnip (packaging could fluctuate)

Not for large cats.
I knew before ordering that this was not for my largest cat who is 15 pounds. He is disappointed that he cannot fit in it and I wish they would make a larger version. My eight pound female immediately claimed this right out of the amazon box! She loves it and curls up in it to sleep. She is small framed but totally fills up the scratcher with no room to spare! My male cat tries to get in it but simply will not fit at all. It is frustrating to him to try to get in this and cannot. I have ordered him a larger scratcher house that I hope he will fit in. I will update.I have many Petstages products and have found them all to be satisfactory in workmanship. I do consider any product that is a scratcher made of cardboard to be disposable at some point and feel this one should last long enough for my kitty to get the goodie out of it. That being said neither of my cats are very destructive and have never torn up one thing! Both are mild mannered and easy going. I do see where a more aggressive cat could make mince meat of this in just a few days. The cardboard bottom is not lined, the paper on the edges and the feet is flimsy, and there is not a firm outer side to this scratcher. Most scratch pads have a firm thick layer of cardboard that the scratcher sits in but this is just the cardboard material.Again, for me and my particular cat this is acceptable and worth the $15 cost. If your cat weighs more than eight pounds I would pass on this item. I would also pass if your cat is even slightly destructive.UPDATE: I really don’t know what happened with my kitty who loved this so much. After about three days she was done. It has sit in the same spot and she totally ignores it. It looks brand new and adding cat nip has not helped. I use it now to store their toys in and they use it like a toy box.

Not the most sturdy but pretty good for the price
The rubber tips that stick at the end of the wire brush easily come off and get stuck in the place where it meets the scratcher itself, which means the wire brush gets dislodged in the sharp metal end is hanging out. I tried to push it back in but I couldn’t get it to line up perfectly with the tip and stay in. So I’ve just been pushing it back in every few days and hoping my cats don’t scratch themselves on the sharp metal.I expected the brush part to be a little bit more firm but I’m happy it is not too hard so I won’t hurt my cats faces.I have one cat who is constantly rubbing on things head to tail and she cannot get enough of this thing. Also seems to be useful in catching loose fur while she’s shedding.Overall, I’m mostly happy with the product but a little disappointed at how quickly the ends of the brush fall out of the holders and how hard it is to get it to stay back in. I might have to try hot gluing it and hoping for the best. I would also hope that there would be holes on both sides that you can flip the scratcher when it gets worn out but unfortunately there are not. I do like how there are four holes total so you’re able to move the brush around to fit the needs of your kitties.

My Maine Coon loves lounging on these!
These are a wonderful cat scratcher, but my Maine Coon uses hers mainly as a lounger for morning naps and late evening so easy to sit in and watch all the night creatures in the yard. They are sturdy and hold her large body perfectly.

Best $13 ever spent
My cat absolutely loves this thing. He sleeps in it every single night. I’ve had it about 3 months now and it’s held up well, granted he doesn’t scratch it much he has other scratchers. I was hesitant to buy this because it seemed cheap, but I thought I’d just try it and if I end up tossing it at least it won’t be a lot of wasted money. I am so happy I bought it and if it does give out I’m for sure buying another one.

Temos três gatinhas, uma mais gorduxinha e duas mais magrinhas.. Achamos pequena à primeira vista, mas ela tem um tamanho que todas conseguiram deitar e dormir confortáveis. Além disso TODAS foram arranhar o papelão da caminha assim que ela saiu da caixa. A caixinha é toda de papelão, mas é firme e acredito que vá durar um tempo considerável.
