5 cats-2 boxes…this litter works
We have 5 cats and two of the electric green litter boxes that are sold here by Amazon. Only one of the litter boxes still works, we have to scoop the other one regularly. Even though this is not a light cat litter, it works great in the box that works, it is more affordable than the Meijer’s cat litter that we have used for the past 10 years, and poo clumps up without taking masses of the litter with it when removed from the box.We have some big kitties that pee in mass amounts, and this litter really does hold up to it all. It sends the urine to stick to the the bottom of the working box tho, but I think this is only because we have to put less litter in the box so that the Mechanics in the litter box will work properly (those really do work best with LIGHT litter, but this stuff doesn’t seem to come in an affordable light version.)We only fill the working box with about an inch and a half of litter and refill every other day as needed. Two containers of this litter will last us for more than two weeks most weeks.The rescues keep on coming, so we can not afford a new electric box, nor to fix the two that are broken –yes, we have a third box, but that is broken and in the basement for one of our cats who just can’t tolerate the others most of the time, so I did not mention that one as she is the only cat who uses that box. We have not had to change the litter in THAT box for about 3 months now…just scoop and add a bit in every couple weeks to replace whats used.We use the unscented, and it still keeps the ammonia smell down during times when we have been sick and could not get to it fast enough. Great litter, and I will continue to use it so long as the price stays around where it has been. Buying more expensive products means I can not rescue more cats…so…I love this stuff!

Clumps well
We have two cats – one who will only use a single type of litter that we buy at the grocery store, and another who will use any type of litter. They don’t use the same litter box, so we have pretty open options for the second cat.I initially bought this for the second cat because it was cheap. I continued buying it because it clumps pee really well. Better than the stuff we get at the grocery store. So long as you’ve got about 1.5″ of litter in the box and scoop it every day, pee clumps very solidly and it makes cleaning simple. Sometimes, when I go more than a day between cleaning, the cat would pee too much in one corner of the box and the litter couldn’t handle it, so it would be the usual sloppy, kinda-clumped mess that we’re used to in the store-bought litter. But hey! That’s just one more incentive to clean the box daily.I have not noticed any problems with smell or dust.

The way this is easily the best litter I’ve used. From the moment I switched, there was no more smell. It clumps incredibly well, so less litter is wasted and it lasts longer. I was worried because the jug was smaller than I expected, but it’s lasting me so much longer than other “quick clumping, no odor” litter
