Easy to apply, adheres well
Just received it today. Took less than 15 minutes to apply. I did have a little difficulty removing the clear backing at first. It came off in a few small pieces as it tore easily. But I pulled it off more gently and the rest came off in one piece. I’m happy the color blends well with the couch. Previously I tried one of those sticky mats, but it didn’t deter scratching as you can see. The main culprit is watching me put it on. I’m considering also covering a couple scratch posts that are looking ragged.

Best product ever!
One of my cats destroyed my couch preening her claws on one of its arms. I tried protecting it with clear plastic made for that. She pulled it off with her teeth. Iâve finally done what I should have done from the start thatâs working on getting her to stop. In the meantime that arm is a mess. It turns out this scratching mat is the exact same color as my couch. It covers the damage so well most people wonât even notice itâs a repair job. The matting comes in a good size roll so if she damages whatâs on the couch with the little bit of scratching she does before Iâm able to stop her it will be easy enough to replace it with another piece of it. I couldnât be happier with how good it looks.

Absolute garbage! Adhesive backing impossible to get off
I really wanted this product to be fantastic.Instead, it’s absolute garbage.The adhesive backing is impossible to get off without tearing the product literally in half ripping off most of the padding on the back.If they would put some tabs between the cover and the adhesive so that you could get it off, then this would probably be pretty awesome.I spent an hour with a razor blade trying to finally separate the backing from the stickiness, and absolutely would not work.

My cat started getting into the habit of scratching our cozy corner to get attention and play. Grabbed a couple rolls of this and had no worries after that. Just wish I had gotten it sooner. Plastic cover is thin, people commented that itâs impossible to get off, so I recommend a razor blade or sharp edge to hook the plastic.

We actually bought this item for our dogs, not a cat.. We had new recliners. We put this item on the bottom and now.our dogs can climb up on the chairs and not tear them up. This item works perfect.
