Easy to assemble
Easy to assemble and a twist on the traditional cardboard scratcher…the kitties love to stretch tall as the scratch

From my perspective as a pet parent, this scratcher actually looks good. The overall lines of the piece are fairly elegant for a cardboard scratcher. The height, in theory, is perfect for the cats to get a good stretch. Assembly was an absolute cinch– had the whole thing ready to go in less than 5 minutes from unpackaging.HOWEVER, my cats were interested in this only while I was putting it together, because it is great fun to walk all over whatever I am working on. Actually using this for its intended purpose–nope. I attempted to demonstrate how to use this (batted the toys, chased the ball back and forth in the track, even did a couple of downward-(cat) stretches and then scratched at it furiously to set a good example. The cats were mildly entertained by me making a fool of myself, but still had no interest in using the scratcher. I infused it thoroughly with catnip powder and tried again. My cats also appear to be unaffected by catnip. Alas.I am still hopeful that someday they will decide to use this scratcher. But in the meantime, they have absolutely destroyed the Amazon box it arrived in. Go figure.

Our cat loves this scratch pad. It keeps him from using the door trim. We keep it against a door that we do not use a lot. He is a large ragdoll and this is very sturdy for his size.

My cats ADORE this box! I almost want to buy another so they have their own box. My cats aren’t huge, but they aren’t exactly small either (~12 lbs) and this box is perfect for them. They will stay in it for hours.It was easy to set up (according to my husband). We didn’t even have a chance to sprinkle catnip before one of them was in the box and scratching away.Another great bonus is that the shredded cardboard bits now stay in the box instead of on my rug, which happens with our traditional scratcher pad.My only complaint is that there’s no option to order scratch pad refills, so I’ll have to buy a whole new box when I only need new scratch pads. That just feels wasteful.

Smells like a barnyard
The scratcher seems sturdy and the height is exactly what I was looking for, but its smells terrible. My hands smelled awful after putting it together, my couch where it sat being put together needed to be Febreezed. Right now it’s in my garage, hopefully airing out. I hope at some point I can bring it in for my girls to actually use because size wise, it really is perfect.

I have Maine Coon kittens that love scratching vertically and horizontally and this scratcher is perfect! The older ones arenât too fussy about the toy attachments but the scratcher is great. Sturdy enough to support being leaned on for a stretch and scratch. My cats are very happy with it and most importantly itâs saving my couches! Assembly was easy and instructions were clear, seems like it would be easy to replace the cardboard scratch pads as they get worn out.

Our cat really enjoys the vertical scratch part. He is not interested in the lower section. It would be great if you could purchase replacements for the upper part. The toys are a bit overkill for an older cat, but maybe a kitten would enjoy them. It is not flimsy and holds well even with his full force scratching. We do have it up against a wall.
