My sister had this on her amazon Wishlist and we always get each other funny gifts so this was a no brainer! We played with this on Christmas and it was so cute and funny. Would def recommend as a gift for kids OR adults.

Cheap, funny, slightly irreverent entertainment on Christmas day
I don’t know if it was the food and beverage buzz from Christmas dinner, cookies, and cocktails, but we thought this was hilarious! I wrapped it up as a ‘mystery gift’. We played a little game to see who won the prize. Once people saw what it was, they were really wishing they were the one who had won it. Of course, we then had to have competitions to see who was the most accurate with the cat-a-pult. (In hindsight, I should have brought lottery scratch-offs for the winner of each round!). This is small, so don’t expect the cats to fly across the room. Ours travelled around 3 or 4 feet on average. Our small group was age 20s to 70s, and we all had fun with it. The fact that the cats are wearing capes is so funny. Our family’s households are full of cat lovers, so that adds a higher level of fun to the toy. It feels so ‘wrong’, yet is oh so entertaining, to launch those little critters into the air.

I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my teen daughter who really loves cats & I expected she would just kind of roll her eyes, laugh & set this aside after opening it. I was surprised when she immediately set up the cat-apult & started flinging the little cat figures across our kitchen table….over & over & over….and over. She still does it while sitting at her computer for online schooling to help get through listening to really boring lectures….and fortunately her teachers can’t see her doing this…lol. It is really cute & she has been getting such a big kick out of it so it was definitely a big hit with her which is not easy to do with teenagers! It works remarkably well & has been holding up really good so far although how long the little elastic band will last I don’t know, but for now…. it’s all good. The only problem we had was getting the paper with the “targets” printed on it to lay out flat after we unfolded it, but that is a minor thing since sitting it underneath something heavy for awhile should flatten it out just fine. In the meantime my daughter just impulsively substituted a small-size emptied out snack bag she was just about to throw away as a “target” instead & she thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of getting the cats to fly into the open bag…. so okay….maybe we don’t really need that target paper after all. All in all, I think this is a really cute little gift for any cat lover that is very reasonably priced….and fun!
